The clip is making its rounds on Facebook and now people are uploading it to Youtube. I can't hear much of what's been said, but according to the article he hit the second student for defending the first student when he said, "Why are you hitting him like that?". He later says, "Do we pay money to come to school to be hit by you?" before the teacher slaps him. At 0:37 the student is still rebelling, "Come hit me then!" Violence in schools should not be tolerated ever, whether it's a student hitting another student, an adult hitting another adult, or an adult hitting a child. He should be fired. Violence is never the answer on both sides but the teacher probably wouldn't have stopped if that student didn't retaliate. Good on other students for stopping it. I remember attending school there in the 1st grade and the teacher bruised my hand by hitting it repeatedly with a wooden stick because I had forgotten to bring my notebook to school. I was never slapped like that, rather just hit on my arms by a stick/ruler, or had to kneel and put my arms up for being late.
