I don't understand why ppl always forget minhyun is a lead vocal, he is not there just for his looks.

Rather than underrated visual he is the underrated vocal in pd101

I was lowkey pressed when I was reading that discussion about the top 11 lacking vocals. And there were people too that provides receipts/videos for Minhyun but they all ignore it and keeping him off the list of vocals in top 11. I agree with you that they still need a main vocal but they don't have to ignore Minhyun like that lol.

That's what I'm thinking and I seriously hope not cause that's freaking messed up ._.

 

But also I must have missed that whole bulk about Minhyun's vocals in the main thread  Then again I'm always spamming his videos when they say and I still think he has absolute capabilities of stepping up as the main vocals if he wants to. GBB's main was him, not Baekho, and it shows. Just cause Minhyun's more known for his softer voice and falsettos doesn't make him any less of a main vocal material (point in case: Lovelyz's Kei, Secret's Jieun). In retrospect, Jung Sewoon's vocals is quite similar - soothing, gentle, acoustic vibe. I don't understand why his voice is perfect for main vocals as everyone says when Minhyun is brushed aside even for a 'lead vocal' position. 

 

To quote from my favourite SHINHWA oppa, Eric, the reason for choosing Hyesung as a main vocal was because he did well but also his vocal suits the core of their songs best, it doesn't make other vocalist any less of a main vocal then they can be, it's all about matching up in terms of group dynamics. Minhyun's voice compliments Baekho's at the core of NU'EST songs, and he does well. 

 

Anyway, I believe in Minhyun's vocals ; u ; I just hope he gets to snag a part he fits well for his voice to shine.

Where did you get the 'sejeong part'? ; u ; I haven't seen it at all.

 

I do know that Minhyun sang the beginning and the last part (started and ended the song), and a lot of people were saying look  out for the later part of the song T u T I HAVE A FEELING IT'D BE GOOD. Downpour also trended on Melon and on instiz. People were saying Minhyun did well, and he's really like a celebrity cause of his visuals (and physique XD), and when he sang he sounds experienced and gave them goosebumps.

 

A Minhyun fan also mentioned that at the end of the song...after Minhyun lower his hand and mic, she saw Minhyun's hand shaking...T A T Such stages must be very unnerving. But on most records Minhyun definitey did well so we can look forward to that. Also his team was probably the 2nd most popular stage after Playing with Fire (ft. Dongho and Mingi xD) ; u ;

I know in the original song, they have two singers Yeonjung and Sejong who pretty much shares the 'main/lead singer' role + main harmonisation. I hope Jaewhan/ Minhyun picks up these parts cause their voices will compliment each other perfectly.

His voice is great for damping tbh (like Raina) so even if he lacks the 'power' i could just imagine how his voice cushions Jaehwan's high notes and the end.

They cant get all 101 trainees in the recording room cause it takes too much time. Instead they get a handful of people to sing then layer them one over the other to get a more boisterous effect. In each section, their voice will be the underlying main vocal you can hear.

 

To me, Minhyun's part starts at about 3min mark if I remember correctly. Its quite clear tho, his voice is somewhat underlying throughout the song to me. Ive been saying his voice was in the song since the start in the main and no one believed me until this got out...(they were convinced it was ong who was in there too but welp)

 

Why I could recognize minhyuns voice even if im rolling six feet under...

The info is quite good i would say. When the song was released, kfans were speculating Minhyun and Ong singing for a very long time before this 6 trainees list came out.

 

The list first came out during the recording of rank A trainees. Fans on site caught wind of it somehow (probably asking around and a staff leaked it) and it begun trending on instiz. But mnet continues not to reveal the main vocals.

 

After elimination, one of the trainees who sang the song wrote on his instagram about it, and his name coincided with the 6man list. This further made for speculation that the list is as legit as it could be since mnet would not mention anymore. The guy who was eliminated is ranked 98 - aka he is the last person and is in class B. Knetz thought that if mnet voice it out, this guy might be saved from elimination or at least wouldn't end up in last place.

 

EDIT: I forgot to add, lol, he got lots of parts. Like I said, cause it's not easy remembering who did what in the middle with harmonies and all, they only remembered him starting and ending the song for sure, but he definitely did sing a lot. If not the sub vocal 1, he's probably sub vocal 2.
