I'm scared for Minhyun in PD101. Although I'm not sure if I want him to be in the final group. 

 

 

I'm stressed over that too, but you know what, he's doesn't have much screen time but every time he's on screen people take notice. Legend. 

 

 

 

Also guys, random thought of the day: Minhyun is actually one of the most underrated all-rounder on the show. 

In the first episode (before I knew about Nu'est), when he walked into the room in that black suit,

I honestly thought he is not only the most attractive trainee on PD101, but in the whole of KPOP.

 

His dancing, while not powerful is really clean and effortless, his voice is just breathtaking.

His personality is also variety gold, Koreans love low-key, witty humour, alas Kyuhyun from SJ.

and most importantly,  he can rap.

He is. TBH his major screentime so far was really the one time he messed up badly, and it was shown twice. He barely had any scenes, appearing at few seconds each time cause someone beside him was talking and stuff like that. In fact there's a lot of times Mnet showed his voice and commentary but not his face and interject with other trainees...he sort of got some hype from netizens because fans screencap the subtitles and put it on pann/instiz to highlight how kind his words are and how he's a smart person for picking a good team.

 

Even in EP3, his screentime was focused on choosing members, but the sorry 2 discussion's focus was on JR who said he wanted to avoid the leader position but decided that he will not give up, and on Ong being voted as center. Knetz once again noted how he was being kind to JR when he saw hesitant in his own member and pointed it out, but otherwise...his screentime isn't as much as people say. Fan gifs are usually enlarging him in the background and stuff like that. :o

 

In behind videos, he only spoke once that his face was shown, otherwise he's just beside someone else who's talking.  :OOO

 

But yes, when he walked into the room he gave off that Emperor Minhyun feel, like he's someone whose very cold? Minhyun has a cool outlook on stage but he's a very warm, even cheeky person XDD And knetz seemed to love it!!   Kahi did say that Minhyun is someone who knows how to take note of details so that he looks good; since he has good proportions, Minhyun's really good at making use of that to cover up his technical flaws, so overall it flows smoothly and everything is clean cut. 

 

Also I need him on Running Man, it'd be the most hilarious thing of all if he was in a nametag race...he'd actually have to use his wits to outrun them XD

I think people exaggerate how much screen time Minhyun gets. 

The moment I began stanning Minhyun was when he asked JR if he was okay with being a leader. He's so thoughtful and considerate, where can we adopt a Minhyun??

minrONNNNN :DDDD They're always so cute together. Aron once said on radio that NU'EST are all very close with one another, so much so that he's sure they're closer than 90% of the other groups in the industry because they're a true family. You can actually see that they hang within their own circles quite a bit, and don't have that many other idol friends in the industry. (Take ISAC for example, other groups mingle around but NU'EST keep to themselves or are just around other Pledis groups). Aron also mentioned that they've all seen each other cry before, they do talk a lot in the dorms and things like that.

 

Because of that, I choose to believe that they're really close. You can feel that they really do care for one another ; u ; Plus in their case, Minron are quite a good fit for each other cause aron likes to joke around and minhyun is the most tolerant; when minhyun wants to unwind from the mama role and be pampered, aron steps up as the hyung and buys him food. They also did a radio gig for quite a while in the past when Aron was on MA, and he did say among his members he feel closest to Minhyun.

That's true! Their Instagram accounts are mostly filled with photos of/ with each other and even if they're hanging out with some other friend, the other members are also around!

 

I heard Aron spent Chuseok with Minhyun's family, if this is true, that is so heartwarming and I'm glad Aron has a friend like Minhyun *sob*

Yes at his screentime. Initially, I thought he has the most between Nu'est members but Jonghyun was really highlighted in the last two episodes and left them lol. But I'm happy that JR was really shown a lot because I really think out of all the members he's the most suitable and can really help the group be more popular. I just need more Minhyun.

I was lowkey pressed when I was reading that discussion about the top 11 lacking vocals. And there were people too that provides receipts/videos for Minhyun but they all ignore it and keeping him off the list of vocals in top 11. I agree with you that they still need a main vocal but they don't have to ignore Minhyun like that lol.

 

I get frustrated too, but i feel like alot of the hate just come from the boys being a part of Nu'est and less a reflection of their abilities. Minhyun is way more than capable of being lead vocalist.

I know in the original song, they have two singers Yeonjung and Sejong who pretty much shares the 'main/lead singer' role + main harmonisation. I hope Jaewhan/ Minhyun picks up these parts cause their voices will compliment each other perfectly.

The first part is Doyeon's he definitely got more parts but no one could remember the middle portions with 5 singers XD. But since Minhyun started and ended the song, people remembered clearly.

 

His voice is great for damping tbh (like Raina) so even if he lacks the 'power' i could just imagine how his voice cushions Jaehwan's high notes and the end.

 

 

They cant get all 101 trainees in the recording room cause it takes too much time. Instead they get a handful of people to sing then layer them one over the other to get a more boisterous effect. In each section, their voice will be the underlying main vocal you can hear.

 

To me, Minhyun's part starts at about 3min mark if I remember correctly. Its quite clear tho, his voice is somewhat underlying throughout the song to me. Ive been saying his voice was in the song since the start in the main and no one believed me until this got out...(they were convinced it was ong who was in there too but welp)

 

Why I could recognize minhyuns voice even if im rolling six feet under...

 

This is a life skill I aspire to master one day.

 

(I thought I could hear Minhyun's voice in the song but I wasn't 100 % sure, thank you for the clarification)

It's surprising that Minhyun is more popular in 10s. I thought he will be popular in the 20s and 30s group. And no. 10 and 11 in the female and male respectively. I hope he will rise next evaluation.
