So I'm visting the individual threads of my faves and ofcourse this thread is one of them

I heard some of his covers and omgg his voice is really beautiful. He is definitely in my top 5.

Hopefully he'll be the one to make it out of his group I wish all the best to his members though.

His voice is gorgeous! It's sad that there doesn't seem to have many ventures for him to showcase it (hopefully at the countdown ep and position evaluations he could). But you can clearly hear his voice in Pick Me so I take comfort in that XD

I have so many things to say but I shall not.

 

Except that I'm hurt. And I'm hurt because how unfair it is to Minhyun? He admitted doing something wrong in the past and apologized for it. He was punished and yet people wouldn't let it go. He honestly admitted it because he had nothing else to hide, but immediately he's going to be remembered as something he's done at 12-13 years old and his hard work in the last 6 years is for nought.

 

I hate this. 

 

But more importantly, I support him. This is an incident that I could understand the disappointment if you just hear it for the first time, but I was listening to the radio then and I know. It's odd to defend someone you only know the image of but...I still like to say I know him. He gave me a lot of strength alongside aron during the radio show, he sent so many messages to fans on the fancafe...

 

He's the boy who got scouted on the streets and auditioned because he loved singing even when the people around him told him that he would fail. 

 

So I support him. That is all.

As I just started stanning him I had no idea about this but if it is something that he did when he was young, admitted his wrongdoing and reflected than it is fine for me. Hopefully people will be able to move on... I just want to say that I'm proud that he was still able to be in the top 11 especially as the international fans can't vote anymore. Praying he won't fall behind and raise even more 

 

 

 

 

Yes...the ifans are more chill cause we also have the full info more so than the first ones being spread around sigh. In the past, NU'EST members talked a lot about honest things on Music Access because it was a gateway of honesty between Aron, Minhyun, Baekho and LOVEs, and the topic of the day was about the wrong doings they've done in the past. Fans send in their own stories too and they'll read it on air, and it's like a 'confess your sins and let's move on' session haha.

 

The radio sessions showed how they're humans too and we all enjoyed the stories. It makes us feel like we're not that different from each other. TBH there are way more positive things Minhyun said, like once I wrote that I hope Aron can work on writing lyrics and THAT DUCK BUTT SAID HE'S TOO LAZYYYY ICB (duck butt is Aron) and Minhyun who hosted it with him said he'd write it then! And show it to us next time. He's always making things warm and cozy for us, but after antis barged in and Pledis pulled Aron away from the show, everything said on air became part of an 'out of context personality rumors'. It's really sad.

 

That anti too, has totally aimed for minhyun cause they cannot find anything else. Though, it seems like the kfans were still enthralled by his beauty and vocals that some came back ahaha. One comment said 'fck this minhyun stolen when he was 12 but i had done drugs when i was a kid im not a saint either' and I cracked up so haRD. Hope he'd succeed in the show too.

 

 

 

 

honestly, im amazed they even brought it up !! he was twelve + not only did he get punished at the time he admitted it and apologized, what more is there for him to do?? ? people complain abt idols not fessing up, not getting punished, not understanding their mistakes, but minhyun clearly understood and felt regret, so what more is there to complain about?? ?

 

 

 

 

Exactly. He also apologized on air again and said 'my fans will believe in me'. Basically he's a changed man, and I know he is. Like...there's so much you can fake on air and stuff, but I've met him in real life and know several others who met him and interacted with him at fansigns and backstage and I can tell you he is really a kid kid. I trust these people, because they never rainbow-paint any interactions with stars they see and they're not all NU'EST fans at all, so if they say 'to be honest, I'm not a fan but your kids are really nice,' you know they are!

 

 

 

 

 

Someone was out to get him. This was from a radio show like, four years ago? They sure dug through a lot of stuff. And released it strategically the day before Produce 101 aired. The malicious intent is very clear and its rather sad.

 

 

 

 

I have a feeling they were preparing since NU'EST got out and has to be one of the 'i don't want NU'EST on the show' people. There's nothing else to find about him so they had to do this - since Baekho, JR and Ren has nothing on them, and this is the only thing they have on Minhyun so they used it.

 

They miss it by a day though. If it was released on the day itself before the Countdown video, damage would definitely be higher. But some are impressed by his vocals and sincerity in the way he worded the stuff, so when the actual episode aired and he did the best out of the four, they were willing to vote for him.

 

Anti attacks can do damage, but ultimately people's sincerity will get to you. A lot of Minhyun fans have been getting flack for going crazy over his visuals (can't blame then huhue. Kr fans call him 'hwang prince, cause 'hwang' sounds like 'wang' which is like royalty in korean) but if you read a lot of their tweets before they announced that they will support Minhyun, they're mostly touched by his sincerity to do well.

Also I just watched today's episode and it was so hard to watch...It's just...so hard to watch.

 

Minhyun's video for evaluation is bad. There's no excuse to it, he blew off the one chance he had and I'm so frustrated for him, disappointed and I'm just...kind of angry. But Minhyun would be feeling worse back then. He got luck getting rank D for how he did, really, he messed up so bad I could barely watch. But at the same time...I'm also upset about mnet. Minhyun was ranked by his peers for the one with the most potential to rise from Rank C, yet mnet showed none of his singing or dancing in the rehearsals at all, only him messing up.

 

It made him look like he didn't put in effort at all which wasn't true if you look at some of the comments above. Even others said it was tough seeing how he didn't manage to show what he could have done...and Minhyun was probably feeling the worst of it all.

 

Sobs, I want minhyun to rise, but watching him crumble is hard.

He's the original NU'EST visual after all (official title) XD But really, he's always have pretty features, and they really blossomed as he grew up and shed those baby fat, worked out to maintain a fit figure etc. K-fans have been talking about his visuals since he went blond for Overcome that his insta selfies were included in news articles for the 'weekly best insta roundups' because of how flattering he looks (selfie master yo!). Now they just went a notch higher cause people actually notice him.
