I'm scared for Minhyun in PD101. Although I'm not sure if I want him to be in the final group.

Yes at his screentime. Initially, I thought he has the most between Nu'est members but Jonghyun was really highlighted in the last two episodes and left them lol. But I'm happy that JR was really shown a lot because I really think out of all the members he's the most suitable and can really help the group be more popular. I just need more Minhyun.

 

minrONNNNN :DDDD They're always so cute together. Aron once said on radio that NU'EST are all very close with one another, so much so that he's sure they're closer than 90% of the other groups in the industry because they're a true family. You can actually see that they hang within their own circles quite a bit, and don't have that many other idol friends in the industry. (Take ISAC for example, other groups mingle around but NU'EST keep to themselves or are just around other Pledis groups). Aron also mentioned that they've all seen each other cry before, they do talk a lot in the dorms and things like that.

 

Because of that, I choose to believe that they're really close. You can feel that they really do care for one another ; u ; Plus in their case, Minron are quite a good fit for each other cause aron likes to joke around and minhyun is the most tolerant; when minhyun wants to unwind from the mama role and be pampered, aron steps up as the hyung and buys him food. They also did a radio gig for quite a while in the past when Aron was on MA, and he did say among his members he feel closest to Minhyun.

I don't understand why ppl always forget minhyun is a lead vocal, he is not there just for his looks.

Rather than underrated visual he is the underrated vocal in pd101

 

 

People keep saying the current top 11 lacks vocals except ong but minhyun and dae/hwi is good too

But I agree they need a main vocal

 

 

Minhyun doesn't deserve that 

 

 

I was lowkey pressed when I was reading that discussion about the top 11 lacking vocals. And there were people too that provides receipts/videos for Minhyun but they all ignore it and keeping him off the list of vocals in top 11. I agree with you that they still need a main vocal but they don't have to ignore Minhyun like that lol.

I get frustrated too, but i feel like alot of the hate just come from the boys being a part of Nu'est and less a reflection of their abilities. Minhyun is way more than capable of being lead vocalist.

 

I think you're right too. I hope that he will impress everyone next episode. I'm so excited!

 

Can someone please post any spoilers/reviews regarding Minhyun's performance? I think it's confirmed that he was in Downpour right? The PD101 main thread moves too fast lol

Downpour Team Review

 

When they first came in, I thought, Kwon Hyunbin is singing?? Oh oh Kim Jaehwan!!

Hwang Minhyun is so handsome <- Basically everyone else’s reaction too.

Ha Sungwoon is so much tinier than I expected. So cute ã…‹ã…‹ 

I think Kwon Hyunbin got a rude comment.. (I don’t really remember this part but he almost cried when answering something MC Leeteuk said.) He was about to cry, so Jisung patted his head and comforted him.

Three members from Sorry Sorry were there. Anyways…

They went backstage to prepare the set, and while they were there they showed us the ghost prank.

(There wasn’t much to prepare for the set, but I think it took a long time because they were getting ready and Hyunbin probably had to calm down..)

The song started with Minhyun and he was very good.. I have nothing else to say.. He did well.

The second part was Kwon Hyunbin and he did a lot better than I expected. Everyone was surprised.

Ha Sungwoon’s voice cracked, so it was a bit of a disappointment, but after that he did very well. (t/n: my baby no ㅠㅠ)

Jisung easily did very well and hit the high notes well.. Actually I was not sure about his singing skills because I wasn’t too interested in him, but I was surprised. 

The cheering was very loud.

Kim Jaehwan got the most important part and of course he did well. It wasn’t as explosive as Sorry Sorry.

I don’t remember very well, but Hyunbin has a part near the end but I couldn’t hear it..

Overall, the harmonies were great~ As a calm ballad, it was daebak!!!

It could’ve gone on TV outside of Produce 101.

After the stage ended, Leeteuk asked Hyunbin why he cried so much. He replied in a very passionate and loud voice why he was sad. I almost cried too, but started laughing because he was so cute.

Meanwhile, they were just standing there, and it started getting teary as they looked at the audience. 

Jisung looked like the leader and he took good care of Hyunbin and the other members.

When Minhyun talked, everything went crazy.. The cheers were loudest for MInhyun overall.

the fan went up to greet them and said she was a fan, the duo said thank you several times. She asked if it's okay to take a photo, they declined but was very apologetic about it.

 

She said they're really good looking and they replied 'aigoo, thank you' (don't know who XD)

I don't know if it'll work coz I'm posting this from my phone but these are the popularity of the top 11 by age & gender (don't know if legit tho lol)

 

It's surprising that Minhyun is more popular in 10s. I thought he will be popular in the 20s and 30s group. And no. 10 and 11 in the female and male respectively. I hope he will rise next evaluation.

It might be the one from the show? :o I thought Minhyun would be more popular with the noonas...but hey, if noonas have Dongho and Daniel, I can see the teens wanting an oppa with boyfriend image aka Minhyun. 

 

I hope he rise too...I am kinda nervous cause his rank is kinda hovering near the end but also he doesn't seem to want to stand out cause he knows what he fits best but still.

I feel like JR has a really good chance to be part of the top 11 but I don't really know what will happen to the other three. It really depends on what will happen in the concept evaluation.
