I think he is just so shy in front of people he barely knows. But gets to be so loud and funny with the people he is close to.

She knows what's up like Kim Sohye does! Oh wait, I forgot all three guys are her friends because they all trained in JYP together at one point of time.  Woo Jinyoung is good too, I really like his rapping style but it's a bit too high-pitched for me, I prefer husky bass tones like Woojin's 

Yaaas finally he cleared the 2nd level! Can't wait for the vid and what kind of fan service is he gonna give hahaha...

 

My theory that his fancam is rising is because he did that iconic 'sexy baby, oh my lady' during the positions evaluation and fans were shook decided to check it out and can't stop themselves now lololol 

 

 

Maybe that is why he gets few screen time. How can fans survive when just by a 'sexy baby, oh my lady' line they are already shook. Can you imagine his impact if he is shown more often in the show?

Am I the only one thinking he was so hot in EP1 with what he was wearing? 

 

He was seriously freaking hot with dark clothes. Though I never gave him that attention until his infamous line in 10/10.

OH HE WAS!!! That styling was way better than what he wore for 10 out of 10 perf, not sure if his Get Ugly outfit can top that. The large pink A class jumper makes him look so cute and fluffy though   And his rap for Welcome To My Hollywood had the huskiest voice ever  For me, his voice alone wins every rapper in B101 

 

Omg. I think he would look cute with their Get Ugly outfit, I've heard it was a "jeans/denim" concept?

 

Why are there no leaked previews of their perf? And I feel like we're going to see their performance next week. Unless, Mnet releases individual cam for their performance this weekend.

Sometimes I think it would be easier on me if I supported Park Jihoon (I like him) from day one so I wouldn't suffer from a roller coaster of emotions  I'm envious of his fans haha. But this journey makes it more fun I guess 

 

I agree. Same for all my faves. I like from 'zero-to-hero' plots. And I guess when he debuts, it would be so much sweeter considering he started from a nugu and was ranked 75 to being in TOP11.

Does anyone know where Woojin is from? And what Satoori is? Why do fans seem to go crazy over it?

 

I would also like to know where our Woojin came from.

There seems to be a lot of trainees who speak Satoori. Also why is it that Satoori is not their default accent?

What is the meaning of satoori?

Satoori (사투리) is the Korean word for ‘regional dialect’. It’s a set of words, phrases, grammar, pronunciation patterns that are unique to a specific region of Korea.

  What is a Korean satoori accent?

A satoori accent is the particular way a person speaks Korean. For example, some satoori accents are slower and more drawn out. Other satoori accents may have different intonations from the standard dialect.

 

The Main Dialects of Korea

The standard Korean dialect is what you’ll learn if you take a Korean course or learn from a book. It is also the dialect found in Seoul and Gyeonggi.

The reason satoori (dialects) developed is because Korea is a mountainous country. Before transportation methods developed, it made it challenging to get from region to region. As a result, those separate regions were fairly isolated. Since they didn’t have the influence of neighboring areas, of people started to develop strong regional dialects (사투리).

The main dialect categories of Korean are:

1. Seoul & Gyeonggi dialect
2. Ganngwon dialect
3. Chungcheon dialect
4. Gyeongsang dialect
5. Jeolla dialect
6. Jeju dialect

How to Learn Satoori

The best way to learn satoori is from a native of that province. If you’re not in Korea already, or aren’t planning a trip to the different province, not to worry!

Below, we’ll give you an overview of how the satoori regions are different. Then, we’ll give you some common phrases and words you can use to practice your satoori.

 

Korean Standard Dialect vs. Korean Satoori

Regional Korean satoori (사투리) is very different from regular Korean (표준어). As satoori is often spoken, and used between people who are intimate with each other. Many of the examples in this article are written in ë°˜ë§ (informal Korean), so be careful when using them with people who you are not close to or with people who are older than you.

This article covers the main Korean dialects that you are likely to hear. There will be small variations even within those regions, but this is usually how Koreans group them.

Standard dialect is usually the easiest to learn when you’re first starting to study Korean. However, adding in some satoori makes it a lot more fun! Not only that, but it will help you when you travel to the various parts of Korea.

As an added bonus, you can surprise your Korean friends with your knowledge of the local dialects. This will be especially fun if you can speak the same satoori of the region your friend is from. You’ll sound like an old hometown pal!

I think most people who move to Seoul try to use the standard Seoul accent so that they won't look too countrified especially if you're going to appear on broadcast. But sometimes when they say something too fast, their accent might slip out.
