I am a female soprano, and even I find this song quite high. I can reach the second "na" in "nayana" without reaching my "falsetto," but it's close. I'm no expert lol but for a grown adult man who is generally supposed to range an octave lower than a woman, I can see how it can be really hard as it is REPETITIVELY high, not even just one area. And imagine dancing with quick steps while singing it. Pick Me from S1 is easy, for me personally, to sing. I can sing Naya Na, but I'm a girl. Many of the boys were trying to hit the notes without reaching their falsetto, which is ideal. In Daehwi's re-evaluation, you can hear that when the notes started to get higher (like in "jebal" iirc) he went to his falsetto, earlier when we heard him practice he tried hitting it but it was too high. I'm also pretty sure Ahn Hyeongseop was in his falsetto throughout most of the song in his re-eval. A lot of the boys had a low range, which is completely normal for a guy. Some of them were lucky to have a wider range. But take my words with a grain of salt, this is just my opinion LOL

 

i am a tenor but it's reachable for me, i guess my range is high then

Yes, a tenor is the highest male vocal range. Not every boy could be a tenor.

 

what i mean is also that none of the boys seems to be baritones to me, maybe hte rappers but i don't remember

Hmm... hard to tell since he's good in all three categories. I think he raps in the first cover mission and the pick me stage also showcased his dancing ability, so maybe he will choose vocal? 

 

i think he wouldn't pick vocal, he's prob gonna pick dance.. or rap if he want to show more of his rap

 

since he's self aware that his range is somewhat limited and he prob won't risk picking vocal

 

plus he's already shown a lot of his vocal skills

I don't call Sejeong move as snakey since she does not harm anyone.

But I just cannot at oppalogists who can even defend Jongyeon who is a bully and attack Daehwi (for saying what others want to say but using wrong words, I hope he'll apologize to them though) who is praised by his friends.

 

No, you don't have to, but he definitely didn't say stuff THAT bad, in fact he was hated before he said those stuff anyway

 

now people just have more reasons to hate him, i am worried about his ranking tho..

Because most fans of the show this season are teens too (see naver)

 

Teens tend to be really reactive so unlike ladt season, evil edits this season are more lethal.

Most fans last season were male/uncle fans, let's be honest.

 

The viewers this season are the same demographic making up ARMY/EXO-Ls etc young girls who will do anything to protect their faves, even if it meant another trainee accumulating hate to bring him down.

 

Did you see how this demographic works? Fangirls can be lethal because they don't accept defeat lmao.

I meant age-wise, teens tend to be more aggressive online with the hate, that's what I actually meant and most of the fans of this season are teens with faves that are NOT Daehwi. Him making that mistake (it was a mistake, no need to make excuses for that) allowed them a legit reason to pull him down and they will never let him live it down. 

 

Meanwhile, I feel that older people have better things to do than watch an idol show. They may disagree with someone but they won't exert that much effort lol.

Apparently Mnet portrayed him as someone who is lazy that does not want to practice. 

People just fall into the Mnet trap all over again. 

They really think they can judge people's personality based on what Mnet edited.

Mnet needs something for people to get mad -> discussion -> relevance for the show -> ratings -> ads and money.

 

i knew mnet wouldn't give him good edits for no reason.
