Would you respect Nicki Minaj more if she came at Remy with a weak clap back or if she continued to not respond?

  1. 1. Would you respect Nicki Minaj more if she came at Remy with a weak clap back or if she continued to not respond?

    • I'd still love her if she clapped back with a weak diss and lost the beef.

    • She's fine not saying anything.

I'm a Barb (for now at least) but IMO I'll respect her as a rapper more if she were to release a lame diss track response than not say anything at all. I may not know much about rap myself, but I honestly still question Barbz who say she doesn't have to respond because that makes me think they're either coming from the pop star side of her and know little to nothing about rap, or they're in denial about the L she took from Shether. I've been listening to Charlemagne tha God's take on the beef and I agree with him. The mess that Another One was and the fact that Nicki has younger fans should be advantages not excuses. If you disagree and say she doesn't have to involve herself at all with Rem please explain.

My respect for her will skyrocket if she doesn't respond. Responding will only fuel the beef. Sometimes it's best to simply turn the other cheek.

I don't really care what she does to be honest, but she should keep quiet cause the lesser the drama the better.

I agree with the both of you in terms of drama but not as a rap fan, this is part of what hip-hop/rap is about though. That's like a wrestler walking out of a ring and refusing to fight. IDK a rapper other than Nicki who turned down a rap beef.

Who is this remy person I've never heard of her until this whole thing started

She was a big deal back in the 90s and early 2000s; she's one of the biggest female rappers. Before the beef though she kept her relevancy in the reality show Love & Hip-Hop from what I've seen.

the responses in here lol

her not responding has killed all her credibility in the rap game, it's dead. folks in the game and hip hop fans no longer take her seriously, and if she dares call her herself the queen of rap on a track again she is gonna get dragged to filth

and at this point it's already way too late for her to respond and if she does everyone will just, rightfully, assume she got her ghostwriters to whip something up for her

nicki just let remy completely blast her credibility as a rapper into the damn stratosphere

I think Nicki still has a chance to redeem herself but I agree with most of the stuff you said.

but what can Nicki say ? Remy's history is known and she ll hit harder if nicki responds .

I think the fact that nicki didn't respond till now , is because she knows she lost so bad .

I'm sure with the "break" she's had making an MV with future and being in Paris for Fashion Week, she was able to gather some dirt about Remy like how Remy spilled tea in Shether. Also as I said in the OP, with the mess that was Another One and the fact that the majority of her fans are younger than Remy's should be advantages.

The L?!🤣 She's a relevant, rich as hell grown woman and why give RM what she wants (attention)???

ETA:

ðŸ¤Oh, Nikki started it?! I know nothing about current rap beefs that don't involve Drake.

No one cares about this anymore. Nicki hasn't been a good rapper for years and her style been played out for ages, about time she got exposed. She can't and won't redeem herself from this and she probably knows that's the case already. Doesn't matter if she responds or not at this point honestly.

Imagine being a Nicki stan and taking the hiphop scene so seriously lmfao, kinda funny to me.

It's good that some of you are disagreeing with me, but somebody please explain from a hip-hop/rap standpoint why Nicki shouldn't respond. Ignoring makes sense for actors, singers, and regular people but not in the world of rap.

Just curious: why did Nikki start it? (BTW, I don't have an answer for you cause I don't listen to either one of them so I have nothing to really base an answer on. Like, I could have told you instantly why Iggy should have shut up.)

IDK why I wasn't able to quote your entire post but yes, musically Nicki indeed started it (although they were low-key beefing for 10 years prior to all this. Fast forward to 1:43.

I got nothing from that (besides the fact that it was awful and lame.) but thanks anyway.🙂

That explains why LOL. Everybody would agree with you though that Iggy should shut up.

Her verse was towards Remy, at least that's what people say. I agree that everything (except the Nicki rap) was definitely shit. The two rappers were low-key beefing for 10 years and it wasn't until Shether that it became public. If I were to hear that song before Shether I would think that either it's not towards anybody or towards somebody underground that barely anybody knows about.

Lmao Nicki is done for for not clapping back right after. It's died down now. No need to come back when you can't redeem yourself.

Part of the originality in hip hop is the clapback and diss, but also just doing your thing. Nicki wasn't fast enough
