I have been feeling really bad because I am still going to stan mamamoo. Even though a lot of people were mad (including me) and what they did was so wrong I will still stan. How have the rest of you been feeling? I just want to put this behind us but that is not happening so...

I'm disappointed myself as an African American but I haven't dropped them. I don't know if that makes me a bad person, but I guess the fast and well put together apology has made me move on.

Idk if you mind me posting here because I mostly only follow their music and not them, but I get how you're feeling. I will still listen to their music but I'm disappointed in them. I'm grateful for the quick apology but I hope they prove themselves to be better than this in future.

I was very disappointed in them. But, I'm not black so I really have no say in whether I can forgive them or not. Even so, I'm really glad that they apologized and that they acknowledged that they were ignorant. I really liked that they didn't make excuses and that they were at fault. Their apology truly sounded like they were ashamed of themselves and felt bad for what they did. Either way, I'm still a fan and will support them so I just hope that they will be more careful in what they do from now on.

I was disappointed. But thier apologies felt genuine and they didnt try to deflect/bury the issue. So ive decided to forgive them this once and move on. Also knowing the girls (in my limited way) I dont believe they had ill-intentions so that helps in my giving them another chance.

I mean being a fan of them for a long time, I know that there is not a malicious bone in their body. But, dissapointed but also super proud of them for accepting what they as wrong so quickly. If anything, it made me a stronger fan since they didn't give excuses.

There are numerous well-written posts that describe how I and many Moomoos feel over in the thread so if any of you guys are even willing to see diff. perspective, I suggest coming over there.

Disappointed. I thought about it a lot since the incident and I know that their intention wasn't to hurt anyone but I naturally feel disappointed. I accept that their actions were mostly due to ignorance but as a black fan of theirs it still hurt that it seemed they didn't give it much thought to realise that maybe race shouldn't be used as a costume to amuse others. I accept that they apologised and that they're willing to learn from it since I think no one is ever perfect in everything and I respect when they're willing to acknowledge their mistakes/ ignorance and actually learn from them. I hope that it's a lesson learnt and that it will reflect in their actions in the future.

Why do you think you have no say is whether or not you can forgive them? The ONLY person who has a say in whether or not you can forgive anyone is you. Now, you have no right to tell anyone else that they can or can't forgive but you most certainly have the right to determine who YOU do and don't forgive.

I was very disappointed. I'm glad they apologized in a sincere way and made no excuses. Because of that I will continue to support them. After all, we're all merely human and none of us are free of ignorance. They've shown remorse and a willingness to learn so I believe they're deserving of a second chance. I really hope to see evidence of improved awareness and better behavior from them in the future.

I had my fair share of knowledge about this sensitive topic even though I'm not part of the black community so I'm really really disappointed about what happened. I'm still questioning all the careless planning and decision they've done that lead up to this mess.

But they apologized, had been educated about the incident and promised to do better so I'm going to trust them one more time. I stan this group for so many great reasons and things, they deserve this chance, well at least for me.

Just like how everyone said, i felt very annoyed and upset when i saw what happend unsure.png ..... but something in me still wants to give them a last chance. Mainly because of the apology, i don't care if people didn't think it was messy written etc. at least they did something.

I saw the video and was taken aback.

However, from what I've seen of Mamamoo and the video, I don't think the intent was malicious, but rather poor taste. I have dealt with racism and this felt different to me, personally. *My reaction can't be generalized*

I think their apology was sincere and hope that they deal with the consequences and grow as artists. I forgive them.

I was not offended nearly as much as others have spoken to, but that's directly linked to my personal experiences and tolerance or intolerance for bigotry. I've followed this group long enough and met them in person enough times to very strongly believe it was ignorance and not bigotry that led to their egregious mistake.

I was more disappointed in their carelessness. Not just Mamamoo but RBW as well. They deserve as much blame if not more than the girls themselves. If Mamamoo had no idea about blackface, you would think someone in their company would have some inkling it's not okay.

It takes years to build up a good brand and it only takes one cataclysmic event to ruin it.

All that said, I'm very proud of how Mamamoo made no excuses for their ignorance, took full blame for the video regardless and pledged to be better people.

How they've handled the controversy has reassured me more than anything else. Reassured me I'm stanning the right group.

It helps that Hwasa blew me a kiss the last night of the Moosical.

Really sad that this unfortunate event happened, and having a down time for a moment, but *still* gonna stan them cos reasons. Glad our words got through to them so this incident got their attention quickly. Kudos to international and korean fans who made efforts for it. This also showed me that our bridge communication between i-fans and k-fans is getting tighter.
Yes, it is rough time for us, but I really hope this could make Mamamoo and this fandom grow more mature and better as a person, group and community. If some of you atleast share same sentiment as me... #neverlettinggo is never seem dearer more than ever for now

*EDITED* good god I just wrote a post said I'm not gonna stan them (while infact is otherwise) cos I put one wrong word #flop
