makeup experts. What's the difference between these 2 skin tones? they are both cold undertoned, but why do they contrast?

I'm no expert, but I don't see a major undertone difference? They both look cool toned, though the girls seems to have some redness. 

 

And maybe the green hair plays a role in making it seem like the guy has a different tone. 

 

Again no expert.. Just observing based on my limited knowledge.

well, she seems to have makeup on, so it's kind of hard to know for sure how close their skin tones are

also based on the color of their necks his complexion seems to be paler?

Not an expert, but the girl is wearing makeup and the guy seem to be a tad paler. That is the only difference.

Like the others said above is that there's a difference in undertones.

 

The male is more cool tone with less redness than the girl. While the girl leans actually more towards the neutral side, she also has more irritated skin than his (it looks like irritation from the sun). Her neck however is more cool than her face.

 

The girl also has the slightest SLIGHTEST amount of yellow in her neck.

 

Also the girl is wearing makeup.

 

And hair color makes a difference in our undertones and how we see them.
