depends how fat, if they weigh over 150 kg then they might need adjustment with seating belt and other commodities

even that depends a lot

like, kang julien is +-100kg:

basing solely on weight doesn't seem fair imo; as long as they're occupying only one seat, they should pay only one seat

It's not about the space (though it's reasonable to charge for that too), it's about the weight. You pay for extra luggage, because it weighs on the plane, if you weigh as three people, well, too bad.

Edit: People should be weighed with their luggage. A person weighing 50kg with two 20kg suitcases, should not be charged more, than a person weighing 90kg but with no luggage.

They should do that for buses aswell. I really dont mind peoples weight but its not always fair towards other people.

i had to drive 10h once with a bus squeezed like a pancake because the person next to me was huge and took half of my seat with her body. I had horrible neck and back pain the day after.. :(

For planes I think it's fair when it's over a certain weight because truthfuly they wouldn't be able to sit with the arm rests down, and would be partially sitting also in the next person's seat. It's already cramped enough on planes without having the person next to you taking up part of your seat too.

Fat ppl already know they are fat & will buy 2 seats or pay for first class. Apparently, first class can sometimes be cheaper than paying for 2 economy seats.

What should really happen if you ask me, is that airlines stop trying to stuff airplanes with more people in the same amount of space. Forreal actual seat sizes are just getting smaller each year
