When talking about a group that good in both digital and physical, most people will think only Big Bang and SNSD what about others ? I want to know how the fans consider his/her group good in digital, but not necessary a digital/physical monster. 2NE1, f(x), SHINee, BEAST and EXO I think these groups are doing good job in both digital and physical, they didn't have monster sell like Big Bang/SISTAR in digital or Super Junior/SNSD in physical but they doing good job on their own and balancing in physical and digital, but why most people only think Big Bang and SNSD is the only one? So how ? Someone explain it to me please

Sorry about my english

Consistency.

Both Big Bang and SNSD do very well on both areas all the time.

And for SNSD's case, they're the only group thus far that I know that gets away with a messy, non-public title track and still charts high digitally. Same could probably happen to Big Bang. As for 2ne1, they failed to stay consistent. Their poor chart performance in 2013 proves that they aren't on the same level as SNSD/BB yet. They need to keep releasing really good songs in order to chart well like they used to.

Well... ones that do really well digitally are just ones you'll see in the top 10ish on Melon and other charts.

But ones that do well physically usually are just groups like SNSD/Big Bang because to do well there you don't need good music, you need a large and dedicated fanbase

I think if EXO keeps up they can be good in both digital and physical. Growl and MID are currently Top 100 in Melon,  (with Growl being Top 50 for over 6 months) and with their last mini Miracles in December, all Korean tracks took up the top 4/5 positions on Melon, (except the instrumental), Christmas Day and MID having longevity. And the physicals need no explanation.

Also, to clear up some misconceptions: good digitals =/= good music. Look at the American charts. I rest my case. Not to shade BB or SNSD or Sistar, this has nothing to do with them, just pointing it out.

I think Big Bang does really well in both and so does SNSD. There's a good balance there.

Big Bang and perhaps EXO in the future for boy groups

f(x), 2ne1, SNSD for girl groups

EXO is a maybe. Growl was the only one that did very well. Miracles in December did worse than Rum Pum Pum Pum (digitally). EXO needs at least 2 or 3 more comebacks before we can totally judge. They are definitely heading on the right track though.

Miracles in December is still in Melon Top 100. For a Christmas song, that is extremely good. It's a maybe, I'm no psychic, just pointing that out.

MID had nothing to do with Christmas. That's why it's still charting. The only thing it incorporated was winter weather. I'm not doubting that they won't do well. We need more comebacks from them totally judge.

It's a Christmas song, meant to embody the season. Christmas in Korea is all about romance. However, the way they wrote it made it a song that you could listen to all year, while having a strong Christmas vibe. But it is definitely a song for the Christmas season. Refer to title and music video.

But your point was that it had nothing to do with Christmas, which was false. You forgot the part about having a strong Christmas vibe. That's why I was surprised that it did so well. Everything about the music embodies the Christmas season.
