Ok so I just finished watching episode 8.....

Poor PKH finding out that his wife had already died 20 years ago but I'm glad it wasn't a murder case. A part of me was scared that she was gonna end up being another victim whilst he was gone.

Ho Young starts killing again but I have a weird feeling that he wasn't the killer from 30 years ago. Before there were some speculations about the autopsy doctor being the killer and I think he's the original killer and maybe Ho Young is like someone he trained? Like a protege? Which would also explain how Ho Young knows about the previous killings.

It seems Professor Shin is the daughter of PKH but why do I have a weird feeling about this also lol probably because I remember reading the plot of the drama which mentioned that PKH had to save his son.

So who the hell was 88PKH?! What was his significance?! OMG I'M EVEN MORE CONFUSED ohdearplz.png

RECAPS - Tunnel: Episode 7

tunnel07-00512.jpg

Oh my god, this episode! Tunnel brings its best game yet as everything converges this hour to bring twists, reveals, and reversals that keep you on the very edge of your seat nibbling away at your nails. Our two mismatched detectives lock horns as secrets come to the fore, and the whole affair as we know it is set on its head with what they find out…

EPISODE 7 RECAP

We open with a scene we’ve seen before: Young Park Kwang-ho tears down a highway in panic, nearly hitting our Kwang-ho before speeding off, hotly pursued by another car. This time, we follow the chase. We see young Kwang-ho was drugged by his attacker earlier, and his driving becomes increasingly erratic. He struggles to remain conscious, but his pursuer finally forces him off the road and his car hurtles down a ravine. Somehow still alive, Kwang-ho flees from the wreckage, but his pursuer creeps up on him. After an intense struggle, he’s overpowered, and his attacker chokes him slowly to death. He leaves Kwang-ho’s body in the open, just like that. I’m so sad right now.

In the present, Sun-jae comes upon the body half-hidden under fallen leaves. He quickly searches its pockets and comes out with young Kwang-ho’s police ID. Back at the wreckage, he finds nothing until he steps on something in the dirt—it’s Kwang-ho’s wallet, which holds his driver’s license. He compares it to the ID card, shocked by the familiar name with its unknown face. Meanwhile, our Kwang-ho and Sung-shik are busy retracing young Kwang-ho’s last known steps, which in this case is the speed camera that caught his car. Sung-shik worries about the young officer but says that they can’t launch an official search either, because it will expose our Kwang-ho.

At the site of the body, Sun-jae mulls over Kwang-ho’s text and finally makes a call, asking someone to come over. Night falls with Sun-jae still standing guard over the body, and he thinks it’s too far from the car to be from an accident. Was he running away? he asks himself. He raises his gun at the sound of footsteps, until he realizes that it’s Dr. Mok. Sun-jae shows him the body, and taking a closer look, Dr. Mok guesses he’s been dead some time. He agrees to keep the body a secret for now, and Sun-jae asks him to find out the man’s identity and how he died. (But but but shouldn’t there be a forensic examination of the scene before you move the body??)

On the drive back, Kwang-ho calls the car to a sudden stop, startling Sung-shik. But it turns out that it’s just to make a pit stop at a dumpling place, which seems to mean something to Kwang-ho, although he doesn’t explain.

“Oh right, do you have some money?†Kwang-ho asks. Sung-shik reluctantly hands over his wallet, and Kwang-ho exclaims at the array of notes, especially the 50,000 won one. Which he pockets. Hahaha. Later, Kwang-ho knocks at Jae-yi’s door (still calling her “agasshiâ€). When she finally opens it, he offers her the bag of dumplings, but she just closes the door in his face. Still, he somehow ends up at her table and explains that he brought the dumplings because he thought she’d have trouble with her injured hand.

“I don’t like dumplings,†she says, before telling him to eat them himself. Exasperated, he says that she really does match well with Sun-jae: “You’re both rude.†With a grin, he adds that they should just get married, and she dourly leaves the table.

OCN’s “Tunnel†Turns Up The Intrigue As Drama Unfolds

Tunnel-Choi-Jin-Hyuk-Yoon-Hyun-Min.jpg&k

OCN’s “Tunnel†is gathering more and more attention these days as the episodes go on, thanks to the detailed and interesting storyline.

During episode 8 of the drama, an unbelievable secret was revealed that surprised the viewers. Park Kwang Ho (played by Choi Jin Hyuk) and Kim Seon Jae (played by Yoon Hyun Min) partner up to investigate a fire incident and find evidence related to Park Kwang Ho’s wife Shin Yeon Sook (played by Lee Shi Ah).

Spoiler Alert

Tunnel-Episode-8-1.jpg

Later, Park Kwang Ho meets an old acquaintance and finds out that his wife actually died 20 years ago in a car accident. Then the acquaintance mentions that the wife gave her daughter a whistle to blow in case of an emergency, just like how Park Kwang Ho gave his wife one.

Then, the scene changes to show a whistle on top of Shin Jae Yi’s (played by Lee Yoo Young) desk, revealing that she is Park Kwang Ho’s daughter.

Tunnel-Episode-8.jpg

Viewers have pointed out that the drama does a great job of accelerating the pace so that they are hooked, and it comes up with surprising twists like the one described above. Moreover, the drama does not just focus on the story of the main character. The mysterious plot of the serial killer Jung Ho Young (played by Heo Sung Tae) keeps viewers on the edge and adds more curiosity.

When “Tunnel†first aired, many viewers were skeptical because the drama may be similar to the popular tvN drama “Signal.†However, “Tunnel†deals with the present time and makes viewers sympathize with the main character due to his continuous search for his wife. Plus, there are so many unexplained clues that make viewers anticipate the unfolding of the drama.

Meanwhile, “Tunnel†is about a man from the 1980s that time slips to 2016 and tries to solve a serial murder case that started 30 years ago from the present. It airs every Saturday and Sunday at 10 p.m. KST.

yeah as i expected 88PK was their kid, but guess its wrong lol

and also during PK's wife got hit by 'so-called-a-drunk-driver', why i had feeling the one who hit the taxi was that serial killer?

But how come 88PKH is their kid, if he went missing from '86? I believe that IVF was not yet developed....

Now I am curious who 88PKH is. I guess he is not going to show up anymore until the end, probably just some repeated scenes.

IDK which one is counted as spoiler, so I will just put it under the spoiler tag

I agree, the wife's accident might not be an accident after all.

Jung Ho Young probably was the killer 30 years ago, because his mom faked his alibi. But it could be he didn't do that, he just copied the M.O. of the real killer. The real killer 30 years ago might be someone else. Or at least until the 6th woman, it wasn't Hoyoung, but the one in the tunnel might be him

Tunnel: Episode 8

Tunnel08-00676.jpg

Tunnel delivers another episode that’ll keep you guessing until the end. As we reach the midway point, the hunt for the serial killer responsible for the dot murders intensifies, and it may be that our hero holds the key that will enable the team to finally catch a monster. The only question is, does our hero care about the unsolved cases, or is he more concerned about finding his way back to the past?

EPISODE 8 RECAP

Kwang-ho looks at Sun-jae in disbelief as Sun-jae’s father confusedly surveys the detective before him, certain that it’s the same man who investigated his wife’s murder thirty years ago. Luckily, Sung-shik intervenes to steer him away to leave Kwang-ho and Sun-jae alone. As Sun-jae struggles with his father’s recognition of Kwang-ho, the detective apologizes for his failure to catch his mother’s killer. Sung-shik returns to tell Sun-jae that his stepmother is in the hospital. After he leaves, Sung-shik unlocks Kwang-ho’s handcuffs and notes with surprise, “The soldier was Sun-jae’s father.â€

At the hospital, Sun-jae visits his ailing stepmother before he sits with his father to ask if Park Kwang-ho was the name of the detective responsible for his mother’s case. Sun-jae’s father confirms his name and adds that he heard that the detective died, now certain that a visit to his mother’s grave that morning must have confused him. Sung-shik sits with Kwang-ho, surprised at the revelation that Sun-jae became a cop and ended up at Hwayang station, of all places. Kwang-ho remembers Sun-jae’s confession that he intended to catch the man who killed his mother and explains that he became a cop because of his mother’s murder. Kwang-ho goes to the hospital and runs into Sun-jae outside. He remembers holding Sun-jae as a baby and greets his partner, “Sun-jae, you’ve grown so much.†Faced with an unbelievable truth, Sun-jae just sighs.

Kwang-ho takes Sun-jae to the tunnel and explains how he emerged in the future after he failed to catch the killer responsible for the murders of six women. It’s the same tunnel that Jin Seon-chul told them about. Inside, Kwang-ho points out the spot where Jin Seon-mi’s body was found. Sun-jae realizes that the culprit was a serial killer, but Kwang-ho tells him that the term didn’t even exist thirty years ago. Kwang-ho explains that standard investigative techniques, usually successful after three days, didn’t work with those cases — so after a month and multiple deaths, there was no suspect.

When Kwang-ho lists the women who were murdered, he includes Victim #5, Kim Young-ja, and explains how the killer marked his victims. Sun-jae was unaware of the details because there were no records of the murders or newspaper articles about the cases.

OCN’s “Tunnel†To Postpone A Week Of Broadcasts To Improve Drama Quality

OCN-Tunnel.jpg

OCN’s increasingly popular drama “Tunnel†will be resting for a week of broadcasts (two episodes worth) in May to improve its quality.

On April 20, sources of “Tunnel†stated, “In time for the holidays in May, we will postpone broadcasts of episode 13 and 14, originally planned to air on May 6 and 7, and air some movies in place of them. Plus, we will air re-runs of past episodes back-to-back before our scheduled air time.†The drama will be back on schedule on May 13.

The drama will be dealing with more important aspects in the second half of the series, so the staff has decided to take their time in perfecting the details.

“Tunnel†deals with a man in the 1980s who time slips to 2017 and tries to solve criminal cases that date back to his time. It has aired eight episodes so far, and it has been receiving great feedback from the viewers. As of recently, the drama recorded an average viewership rating of 5 percent, which is quite impressive.

As a result, there is a possibility that the cast and crew of the drama will get a reward vacation for their hard work. About this topic, “Tunnel†sources stated that, “There is nothing confirmed for now.â€

Tunnel PD: if it was no different than Signal & MoM, we wouldn't have made it. Thanks to new writer and lively young actors

[+2440, -45] It's a really interesting drama, the response was more than I thought. There is no acting holes, the story is fine and not boring, it's really fun. Really just fun, a novelty drama.

[+1375, -42] Can you please stop with Signal... Every work has its own color and charm, don't attach that genre to Signal and make comparisons. In the day of the production presentation, it was nothing like Signal.

[+999, -23] In our Park Kwang Ho's awesome voice... yaaa, whaaat ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹

[+662, -39] When I think about it, the killer is not Jung Ho Young... It's the autopsy doctor who worked with Choi Jin Hyuk in the past

[+538, -30] "I have to go back to Yeon Suk-ah"... So the child of Park Kwangho lost her parents as a kid and was adopted by a foreigner... So much fun... A thriller drama with so many things to unfold

[+152, -15] I have seen Signal and while watching Tunnel I found nothing in it that's similar to Signal

[+140, -13] Is it even possible for Kwangho and Yeonsuk to meet againㅜㅜ I really want them to meet againㅜㅜ

[+118, -9] Stop comparing it with Signal

[+146, -24] For my taste, this drama is more fun than Signal

[+99, -9] Without all the Signal comparisons, this article wouldn't have to be written. Please stop talking about Signal

JHY?? then why should he killed 88PKH?lol

well if he is the son of JHY and his wife then 88PKH maybe wanted to avenge his mother or something bcos JHY killed his wife. and 88PKH ended up researching and found out about the old cases and thought JHY was the killer, or maybe JHY actually told him/hinted to it like he told KSJ. being his son wouldn't automatically mean he loves him, after all. btw do we know JHY killed 88PKH?

I think the 5th victim (who is her name again? I am so bad at this thing), the reason why she survived and not reporting the crime must be important...

if im not mistaken the 5th victim is KSJ's mother, Kim Young-ja,

as shes the only survivor of 86 case but she died eventually in 2017 (ep 2's case)

No the 5th victim survived but KSJ's mother died, she was the one who had bought her husband a tie. Also the one the supposed killer was confessing about in church (how she kept on saying that she had a child to him so that he wouldn't kill her)
