We’re roughly half a day into the launch of the Nintendo Switch here on the east coast of the U.S., and it looks like we have our first victim. Reddit user supportdevil (figures) took to the Nintendo Switch subreddit to show off their bricked console.

“Anyone got the Bluescreen,” they write in the title. “Already mine died a sec ago.” Shorthand text for longhand feelings, it seems. This is the image that user attached.

Here’s what happened, according to them.

Played a bit BotW then the Screen went white and the Switch got very noisy then i restarted the Console and now only Blue Screen of Death

Someone asked if they tried hard resetting it. To which the ever eloquent supportdevil wrote:
How? i reseted it with holding down Power for 12 sec like on the Website

The user is responding to questions in the thread as I write this story. It appears they updated their system before playing, and they’ve tried to restart it.

Meh there's always some units of new tech that are faulty. My first ps2 couldn't read DVDs due some fault and I got a replacement that still works to this day. Many early Xbox 360 had rrod.

Still gonna get a switch and the GOAT that is Zelda (switch is sold out everywhere and fuck pre orders, I never get one for anything, I'm cursed :._.: )
