It's been reported that actor Matsuda Ryuhei (33) and wife, actress Ohta Rina (29), have separated and are looking to get a divorce.

In an interview with ORICON STYLE, Matsuda's agency commented, "We have heard that they are living separately." Further, they stated that they have not grasped the situation, "We have put it in his hands." Similarly, Ohta's agency said, "We leave private matters up to her."

A recent issue of 'Josei Seven' reported that Matsuda and Ohta started living separately last summer and will be getting a divorce in the near future.

The two married in January of 2009 and had a daughter together in July of the same year.

I don't know why people say divorce is a sad thing. If it's a mutual understanding of two people drifting apart and not being in love anymore, then it's a great thing yes?

But generally, whenever I see people getting divorced, I'm just like '' ah, good for them! '' because hey, they made the initiative to split, so it can only mean they truly want it, and can be happier with someone else or just by themselves.

Someone said on another thread that she left him and their daughter to be with another man.

It didn't start out as a mutual breakup but now, its mutual.

If it was really mutual, then yes, its a bit sad but maybe its for the best.

  • 2 weeks later...

I heard that it was a shotgun marriage & the two weren't in a good term unimpressed.png

Shotgun marriage is kinda stupid, they should've used contraception s and there are even Plan B pills if they're too stupid to even think of using one during the act, and even if all fails they can have mutual agreement on how to raise the kid or adopt it out... Anything without marriage really. I just find it extremely unbearable, the idea of getting married because you accidentally get pregger.
