I went to few threads and people said almost in every award shows, 90% and 70% seats are occupied by exo fans and the rest of seats left are occupied by other groups' fans. Although it was a hate article of some swearing or whatever it was, that aside

I was wondering which new group will be able to achieve this kind of impact?

Years ago, this was done by HOT fans which I can recall from watching Reply 1994. lol

HOT had this kind of impact.

Anyways, My bet is on seventeen/nct and astro. They seems like they are the newest trend at the moment.

Is this a competition now, too?

Weren't some of ya'll going on in that other thread about how if you want more cheers for your fave other groups need to get better at ticketing? This would probably be the least stupidest competition brought up in a while bc it actually bares significant consequences

That's being said SVT

That is to defend the k exols and not to brag about how fast exols in ticketing. People keeps on bashing them since they always dominate the award shows.

It depends on how organized are the official fanclub. SM does a very good job so far. Among new groups, perhaps only BTS has the possibility to match up.

If I remember correctly, Sechskies fans used to complain about how H.O.T fans gets a lot more support from SM as they even charter bus to ferry fans to event/music shows and then back to company. Whereas Sechskies fans has to pay for own transport. I am not sure if it's just an accusation or exaggeration or actual fact though.

JYPE had just started an official fanclub for TWICE, perhaps this is accelerated due to how little support TWICE was getting from award shows, specifically Gaon Music Award last night.

To get into those shows, you kinda need to organize a bunch of people who are keen to go on that day, not just individual effort in purchasing tickets online. Sales of those ticket pass are sold out very fast, who is to say that some of those aren't reserved? Big 3 have some influence, especially for SM & YG. No award show is complete without them. JYP is only getting back in the scene now. Big Hit is making a splash with BTS.

Actually gg is really hard considering they have public and not fandom.even sone is not that many in award show.Public don't go award show but they support digital.

Maybe Seventeen? Like have you seen their Japan concerts? They're huge for a rookie group

iKON is another possibility, and I haven't seen how NCT is doing really since I don't pour much focus into them, but maybe them too? SM's trying to get them the "international stage" and all so.

And @people who mention BTS, does BTS really count as new anymore?

BTS is about to approach their fourth year, and when EXO approached that time there were news articles that were saying that EXO had become a "sunbaenim" group and whatnot. If they still count as a new group, then yeah, they're extremely close to reaching EXO's ticketing power, but do they count as new still?
