Can anxiety/stress/too-much temper cause weight loss?

Especially if you are eating normally all day but you notice yourself losing weight despite that. Also,i work out once every two days and since yesterday i started jogging again but that's all for my health basically.

I am eating normal amounts of anything, like i could eat a lot of meat and eggs and still lose weight.

Can it really do that? In the past i used to over eat potato chips and was around 61 kg and now i dropped these junk foods and now i am right at 54-55 kg , i can feel my bones more and i know that its not healthy but since the summer when i started losing that weight, i can't seem to take it back no matter how much i eat, it doesn't feel like a yo-yo diet to me, it started as a small diet but now it changed into something else. I am also eating at nights(i ate two sandwhiches at night yesterday for example)

my mom says its because the temper i have and stress caused by my computer(?)

she said its even worse these days

i mean its not healthy if you can notice your wristbones(but then again i always had tiny wrists comparing to my palm so yeah...)

i'm not trying to boast or anything, i just want to know if its caused by that.

Also sometimes i have weird bathroom visits accompanied by stomach pain before it.. but its not all the time...

I'm not going to give you a diagnosis over the internet I would advise you to go see your GP.

But to answer your question yes these things can affect your weight...and you can get stressed by spending too much time on your computer. How tall are you? it's normal to lose heaps of weight after dropping junk food.

I'm 5'9(1.75) and 18 years old.

Also i'm more of a couch potato, i exercise 1-2 hours a day like jogging and then a 18 minute ab exercise video at night.

I'm also having a LOT of free time this year because im no longer in school so more time in bed and less time stressing about school....

It's normal to lose weight after dropping junk food and doing the amount of exercise you just described. This is completely normal.

However in saying that If you're really worried go and see your GP.

Yeah I actually gained lots of weight in my final year of highschool because of the stress of exams and stuff.

I think is possible but aside from your diet and exercise you should also try to take care of the rest of your routine. I don't know if you work or go to school but that can also affect you if it causes you stress and are too busy in daily basis, it's not exercise per se but it does consume energy and can drain you out in the long term. So try to be healthy in every aspect of your life and your mental health and mood are also important.

Yes.

Stress affects internal body systems and releases cortisol, cortisol maintains homeostasis.

Too much stress = too much cortisol = interrupted homeostasis = bad for the body. If stress continues and the neurotransmitters that release cortisol are not shut off, it can even damage internal organs and the brain itself. not fun
