Hi everyone.. I just found out that crime scene has a thread.. finally I have a place to rant and discuss about this show.

I kinda forget about ep 1 and 2. So I'll rant about ep 3 n 4 instead.

Ep 3 I was stuck between chief kim and prof. Yoon, but in the end I choose chief kim as a culprit. This was because the clues that the culprit will get rid the evidence of re-investigated request form. If prof yoon was the culprit, I dont find the reason why she will leave that form after killed the victim. That's why I'm convinced that chief kim was the culprit because he wanted to get rid the form. I'm disappointed when I found out that prof yoon was the culprit and the reason why she leave that form was because she wait outside the room to see who'll entered the room. I mean, how can we know that? There are no evidences and clues that the culprit will wait on the outside and why she'll do that.

Ep 4 was also a little bit disappointing for me. The twist that officer yang was actually the founder of that company was stretch and unrealistic. I think this was because the cast didn't find the clues and didn't dig deeper about that so I really cant connect about that story. Based on the clues that the cast found, no wonder secretary jang was selected by the casts and viewer. It's more believe able that secretary jang was actually the real jang young nam and kill the victim (the real secretary jang who got surgery to became kim dongpo) to made new life.

I hope next ep the story would be better. This season stories seems a bit lacking compared last seasons, there are a lot of plot hole and there are kind of impossible to predict the culprit's move based on the clues..

How about u guys? Do you satisfied with this season's cases?

Finally finished watching ep 5, here is my thought about it

Yay I success to guess the killer. My prime suspects are jung ceo and jin star, since both of them knew what are the victim's habit and medications very well. However, I have a hard time to choose between this two since I don't know till very end how the culprit gave the dangerous combo medication to romeo. Juliet's founding about suspicious slit on energy bar's wrap was only explained after the killer was revealed. Finally, I choose jung ceo because she had a bigger motive and advantages with romeo's death than jin star. She will debt free, get insurance and inheritance with romeo's death.

The plot hole in this episode is why poison bottle containing botox that juliet prepared was dumped? Who dumped and changed the bottle in equipment room? If ceo jung killled romeo using energy bars, I don't find any reason why she would dumped that poison's bottle.

There is a plot hole in this episode, but the casts did quite good job for finding the clues and evidences. Overall this episode is fun and enjoyable. Can't wait for jang dong min for next week. ahmagahplz.png

Thanks, finally I can sleep well after finding the answer lol. These scenes seriously should have been included, the plot hole was so glaring without it. Hope the editing team will be more careful for next eps, I honestly don't buy their reasoning for limited time lmao.

Spoiler for episode 3 & 5

But, did the production team provide any evidence or clues in the set to support that story? If they weren't, I don't really like it. It just make that fact, as the tool for the production team to stretch the story. It's same as episode 3, about why the criminal didn't take the paper, they only did it to make the suspicion divert to other suspect, which make some kind of plot hole to me

Nope, there weren't any clues or evidences about it. That's why I don't believe their reasoning about limited time. It's looks like the production team just realize about the plot hole after a lot of viewers wondering and asking about it, and they made up this story to cover their mistakes.

Ep 3.4.5. story's lines were disappointing and had a plot hole, I baffled when I am found out that prof yoon leave the evidence because she went outside to wait someone entered the room in ep 3, there were no clues and evidences for this action. In ep 4, they made yang officer like a devil mastermind who control all of the suspects, but the evidences to support this plot were so little. What a story

This season's writer seems like to give a story twist by adverting attention to other suspect with the deceive clues but sometimes lack to see the overall pictures of the story.

finished watching ep 6, my thought :

Yay, I guess the culprit correctly again. Tthe casts really did a great job finding all important clues. Lady jung was the only suspect who had connection about coal briquette and the only one who had possibility wanting to burned a photo. I applaud DJ jang for realizing that the fake lady jung was actually nanny jang, I overlooked that the girl in the photo had shorter hair because it was taken a year before lol.

I am sorry if I am too nitpicky, but I still find something bugging about the story. Where lee eun sook got information about the photo that the real lady jung take a year ago and haven't taken yet? How can she take it from studio? Didn't we need some kind of receipt to take photoes from studio? Without appropiate explanation, this scenes seems kinda forced to made lee eun sook finding out about the identity of nanny jang.

Overall, I really enjoyed watching ep 6. There was a plot hole, but it didn't disrupt the flow of the plot. Jang dongmin and solji was great guests, the way they immersed in their characters were so cute and fun. I think the star of this episode was DJ Jang and he really crack me a lot harharplz.png.  He finally become my favorite cast in this season.

Episode 6 was really good.

I re-watched all of season 2 this weekend and the editing and pace of season 2 is A LOT better than season 3, imo. I am still enjoying season 3 immensely, but there is something strange about the way they are editing the episodes.

They use the same template every episode it seems, so guessing the criminal is quite easy :/

same. i also had difficulty to enjoy rewatching season 3. even when season 2 aired, i re-watched several episodes. in season 3, there're lack of cute moments and none of the case is as "amazing" as park gangnam. i replayed "hoppang honey" so much, during xiumin's episode when they parodied exo's songs, park jazz's singing and jang member's half boiled squid dance. so far eps 3 is the only one i enjoy immensely variety wise, but even then the case plot hole is too big (there is absolutely no reason for prof yoon to leave that paper or to wait until director kim found out about it). i've lower my expectations now so i'm not as picky as before, but when i rewatched season 2 again, i realized how lacking this season compared to season 2. even when season 1 earlier episodes drag a lot, it's more enjoyable.

I agree, s2 by far was still superior compared s3. The story lines in s3 was recycling the same plot where the most suspicious one was usually not the real culprit. The writer like giving deceive clues to adverting attention to other suspects, and so far it give a double edge sword effect. Like when the cast can't find some important clues the story would be lost to the mountain, ep 4 reference ( I seriously side eyeing the plot about yang officer as a mastermind lol), but when all of the clues unfold, a lot of suspects can be eliminated and the culprit can be guessed too easily. There are also some plot holes because the writer wanted to justified that deceive clues without proper explanation, So far, the stories in this season were either forgetable (ep 1,2,6) or had glaring plot holes (ep 3,4,5).

The characters of this season were also kinda bland compared s2, there weren't any iconic characters like park kangnam, jazz park, oversea jang, sakarinchan, and others like s2. The casts who seems engrossed and gave the flavor to their characters were only jang jin and park jiyoon. It's a pity that I like kim jihoon before when he was a guest than he is now.

Late to the party, but I just want to add my two cents.
It's inevitable for viewers who have watched all the seasons to compared the quality of each season, this won't applies only for crime scenes but also other reality shows, dramas or movies. So for people who can't accept the comparison, just please be more open minding and understanding. It'll always happen and can be helped. The critisms so far was constructive and un-bashing, so I don't understand the fuss about it.

For myself, my critism mainly addressed for the production crew than the casts. I don't really need the casts to be funny, as long as they can play their characters well and found the important clues. But of course every viewers have different standards for it, that's why we have this forum to discuss and share about our thought. So, please don't expect us to always write unicorn and rainbows about this show

btw, I'm actually really curious about the filming of crime scene. From what I've seen in season one and the last two eps of season two, they get a script right? But how do they have an explanation for almost every little evidence against them? If they made it up on the spot it might potentially turn on them? Also how long is the filming? At the end of season two when jiyoon was locked up it said 12 hours of filming? During the awards of season 2 dongmin mentioned standing in front of the pouch for an hour but in ep 11 that was only a few minutes long. Do they film from early morning or until early morning? It seems that they have more than 10 mins (at the beginning) and 3 min (at the end) because how could they find so many things in such a short time? Just wondering if anyone has ever wondered about these things or seen the cast members mentioning it somewhere before.

I think they got the script based on their point views, so they will know overall stories from their pov and what clues and evidences that will disadvantage them. Therefore, they can prepare before hand their reasoning and explanations, but they won't know about others.

I also kinda suspicious about time given at the 1st hunting clues, how come they found a lot of clues in such short time. The casts seriously did good job if the given time was really only 15 minutes. I will only make a mess and barely find a clue at that short time harharplz.png

ohh thanks haha. It must be really hard being on the show though, since they have so much to remember and the filming is long. I can't imagine being stuck in a place for hours just to solve a fake case. They are really amazing though, Crime Scene is like a drama+variety show in one, where a mistake can make you end up in jail (for like five minutes but still) I'm really curious how scripted it is and all though. Sometimes it feels like they know the criminal already but they have to continue looking for clues because of the show. It must be hard on the crew too, having to set up and put everything back to it's place after every search.

Thinking about all this makes me appreciate the show even more lmao.

Anyway I'm so glad Jinho is back omgomg

sorry for all the pointless opinions there's no where else for me to put all these and ask others [emoji28]

I am not really surprise that the filming need a lot of time since production’s crews need to tidied up all rooms several times, especially after the 1st inspection where they divided by 3 teams. Props for all of the casts who can still focus to finished the filming through out the night. On the bright side, the casts can have a lot of time to made deduction and linking of each evidences, since it’s not an easy task to do.

I kinda pity the assistant detective though, he have to go through of more than 8 hours filming but only got no more than 5 minutes screentimes

I think they normally film through the night for 8-10 hours. And it's my understanding that they get info on their own character and what their character knows about other characters and on the clues that their character knows of. But there might be clues that their character isn't aware of too.

I think they made the first inspection time longer. I feel that they find way more clues now than they did before. I actually think that it's one of the reasons of the weird editing - too many clues appear early on.

They intentionally made the casts found a lot of clues at the beginning to adverting attention to other suspect imo, since the detective have to choose the culprit earlier. That's why usually the most suspicious suspect at the beginning, the one that detective choose first, wasn't really the real culprit. The casts usually found the decisive clues at early half, then they would found the important clues in the 2nd half.

Wow, finally a good episode..

giphy.gif

Episode 7 is easily my favorite ep this season. Yang sehyung, jang jin, and kim jihoon really did amazing job at portraying their characters. Using their own name was such a breath of fresh air, the way kim jihoon calling out jiyoon's name in early episode cracked me a lot. Yang sehyung as nature man really shined in this episode, finally he lived up of his name as famous comedian. All of his comments were gold harharplz.png. Production team also did a good job at hiding the evidences and the secret lab was also mind blowing.

As for criminals..

I torn between eunji and cha eunwoo, but I choose eunji as the real culprit in the end. That's because her reasoning that she can't open the usb because jiyoon's laptop was locked seems fake. I mean the pasword was the most basic ever, and she also knew her birthday, so her explanation that she can't open the usb looks like a lie. So I choose her as final criminal because she lied in my book lmao.

The only little thing that make me wondering was cha eunwoo actually met jiyoon twice, at 9 pm and at 11 pm. There were no evidences and clues pointed that cha eunwoo met jiyoon at 9 pm, the only phone call he did was at 10.30 to asked her met him at 11 pm. That's why cha eunwoo can leisurely lied that he only met her once at 10.30 because there weren't any clues to refuted his claim. This scene lowkey remind me of ep 3 when prof yoon waited outside of room after she killed, the scene where viewers and casts would never know a certain criminal's act because there weren't any single clues about it.

On the bright side, I am happy that cheris kim was indeed kim jihoon's son. Jihoon ah, you did it lol hurrplz.png .

I am surprised that next episode the story would go back to 15 years ago, since cha eunwoo won't be a guest next week. It's a pity that his character will be written out. I think it would be awesome that suspects in the past were the same with suspects in the present. Btw is park jiyoon  playing a younger character of ep 7's victim or other park jiyoon?

I think they mentioned that his character was from different class than the others so the writer kinda planned it beforehand? the case 15yrs ago only revolved around class 2-2, Eunwoo was from class 2-1 so it wouldn't be strange if he wasn't there.

I think Jiyoon will play the younger victim of ep7, just as other characters, i'm looking forwards to the case since i love serial murder ^^

Yeah, I know that he was from different class. I just think it'll be hilarious if they also show the love triangle between jihoon - jiyoon - eunwoo when they were high school, when jiyoon still live.

"I like Apink but Eunji is misscast" the person who said this you should watch ep 7 and you will see how our Eunji find all important clue and find the real criminal..she's really doing the best for every ep..from 1st ep she's really busy with her own individual schedule and Apink schedule and now she still busy with Apink cb but she's never showed her tired face..she always smile..ep 7 she's really slay..

Ji hoon back hugged Eunji without she know..who's didn't shocked when suddenly they get back hugged from other ppl..let's I ask you..what if suddenly someone back hugged you without you know did u will hugged the person again??she's just shocked and she have an image who she really need to take care not just her image but also her group image..even I'm also shocked when see the seen..did Eunji need to back hugged ji hoon again to make you all happy..but I'm sure if she hugged ji hoon again ppl will bashed her..I know this is acting but this is not romantic drama..please appreciate Eunji hard work in this show..

Yups, eunji always tried to did her best and good at finding clues, so she is a good player in my book. But, as I said before that every viewers have different standard, they could define differently about what good cast is. So don't feel down when some viewers gave critisms towards her, as long as  critisms were constructive. Her characters in previous episodes were sometimes forget-able and she didn't stand out, so I kinda understand why they critized her since she didn't bring something new on the table. She did a good job at portraying her character at episode 7 and earned praises, maybe she take critisms as a way to improve herself. So all is well nowilikeitplz.png
