(Romance, Suspense) Cardiothoracic surgeon Oh Yeon-joo's (Han Hyo-joo) father mysteriously went missing while writing the last chapter of his webtoon "W". Yeon-joo goes to his office and is shocked to see a scene of the dying Kang Cheol (Lee Jong-suk), the main character of W, on her father's computer. While reading a note left behind by her father, a hand from the monitor pulled her in and she finds herself on the rooftop of a building next to a bleeding man. She manages to save him and realizes that the person she saved was Kang Cheol. Yeon-joo later discovers that she can only leave the webtoon based on Kang Cheol's change in feelings. When that happens, the words 'to be continued' will appear and she will teleport back to the real world. or Jealousy Incarnate !!! (Romance, Comedy (very very funny)) Weather caster, Pyo Na-ri (Gong Hyo-jin), and news anchor, Lee Hwa-shin (Jo Jung-suk), are long-time colleagues at SBC broadcasting station. Na-ri has had a crush on Hwa-shin three years ago but things change when she meets the perfect man Go Jung-won (Go Kyung-pyo), a chaebol heir and close friend of Hwa-shin. Meanwhile, Sung-sook (Lee Mi-sook) and Ja-young (Park Ji-young), who are rivals in both love and career, gets entangled with Kim Rak (Lee Sung-jae), a restaurant owner and landlord of the building where Nari lives. This is a beautifully written, wonderfully acted slice of life story about a group of interns trying to make it in Korea's tough office setting. The main character rips my heart out. I cried a lot watching this, and I couldn't stop myself from watching it back to back, despite the emotional drain. Slow burn, but seriously... one of the best written shows I have ever seen. HEALER. Ji Chang Wook stars in this, and it has one of my favorite romances ever. It isn't cheesy or silly; it is more about two broken people finding completion in each other. I loved it. W. I haven't finished it, but it has an interesting concept (and some beautiful shots). REPLY 1988. I am also not done with this, and it can be a little slow at times -- BUT it is, again, a slice of life drama about a group of families during 1988. Also echoing Oh My Venus -- it is a predominantly lighthearted drama but is basically about a girl who used to be the most attractive girl at her high school. She grows up, gets a great job, but gains a ton of weight. Something happens that makes her determined to get back to her old self, which leads her to seek out a famously secretive personal trainer to help her. I enjoy it because I expected a lot of fat shaming jokes, and it is really about the fact that she is unhealthy and needs to change it because of that.
