Yesssss I hope Ailee can go, I know for EXO will go (their comeback is slated for May - June)

If Ailee doesn't get to go, that would be a shame bc she's topped Soribada's weekly chart for 6 weeks so far w/ the OST ;;

Digital music platform Soribada, founded in 2000, will be hosting their first awards ceremony this year.

The first “Soribada K-Music Awards†(SOKA) will be held in Seoul at the Jamsil Students’ Gymnasium on September 23.

The ceremony will award the best and the brightest of K-pop releases between October 2016 and September 2017. The nominations will be based on Soribada’s internal data as well as online and mobile voting.

According to a source from Soribada, the ceremony will also feature events and performances from K-pop artists as well as the awards. Artists from various genres such as rap and trot will also be invited and the event is expected to host an audience of 4,500.

I wonder if it will still go ahead or if any artists will even go now that Soribada has been removed from iChart for having too few listeners...

Not including in ichart is not a bad thing actually. Kakao Music and Samsung Milk have more or less the same paid subscribers than Naver Music for example but they are not in ichart. Apple Music too.

Plus, they will get paid. So, they probably will come.
