Naver - Sports Chosun: High average age of Cheese in the Trap cast, a benefit or loss?

Article talks about the cast's high average age compared to the drama version and if this will harm or benefit the movie

1. [+2,041, -13] The ages aren't the issue but rather, it's how will they compress such a long story into a 2-hour movie?

2. [+2,197, -75] Celebrities can easily cover up their ages through their looks

3. [+1,337, -35] Woah.. Can't wait for Yoo In Young ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ã„± She will be amazing as Baek In Ha

4. [+594, -30] That's something to worry about but as long as the acting is good, it should be fine â™¡

5. [+179, -17] I liked everything about the drama but too bad, the production crew turned it into a makjang

6. [+163, -19] There are so many adult students returning to school who are much older than them, why all this fuss over their ages?

7. [+80, -7] Reporter, what's the point in writing that 91er Kim Go Eun is 27 years old? ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹

8. [+69, -4] It's a benefit. They get to act and receive a massive image boost from it

9. [+81, -10] Wow, since the sync is so perfect, we get this one reporter trolling and making a fuss over the cast's ages. Cheese, please hit daebak

10. [+91, -17] The lineup can't get any better than this ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹Fighting!

A loss for me. They don't look pike students at all. I hate this thing in movies/series where 30-looking people play pupils/students. Then make it some office version or at least as if they try to get PhD or smth. Main couple here looks even 30+. It just looks stupid for me.

i mean there isn't really any hate towards him maybe except for like two users on this thread so???

It isn't just on OH. Even on other platforms, like Dramabeans, there are people who hate him. I'm not a fan, but I've been there during the downfall of CITT. Some people hated his character so much that they also hated him as an actor.

People didn't hate him for his character since he was quite decent as Baek Inho, but rather they hated on the writer of the drama because of her obvious bias for his character/for him based on how things turned out on the drama. Also, let's be honest, he isn't a spectacular actor as well like what some avid fans make him out to be. He's decent yes but could need some more improvement. Remember, people in dramabeans are big drama and film fans so they aren't in it for the visuals but for the acting, hence the criticisms there. Anyway, I got no hate for him. I'm all-in-all neutral about him, but if we compare him and Park Ki-woong in terms of who's a better fit for this role and/or in acting, I'd pick the latter.

Me. Sometimes there's just no other actor fit for the role but an older one, unfortunately.

The drama was really disappointing to me as someone who follows the webtoon. Soonkki (the webtoon author) seems to be paying a lot of attention on the movie so I'm hopeful.
