Sunny can be pitchy but I think in general she has better technique than Fany Vocal color is subjective I guess, I think I prefer Tiffany and Sunny's the most especially in the lower range! RyoDori 1,475 Posted February 21, 2017 Share Posted February 21, 2017 i feel like hyoyeon's vocal color is a hit or miss depending on which song she is singing. she sings great in songs like mystery but then doesn't sound great when she sings bubbly pop genre songs. if you know what i mean. i won't go into techinique because i'm not an expertise in that category but since vocal color is personally based on someone's opinion, this is how my ranking would be. 1. taeyeon 2. seohyun 4. yuri (i like the huskiness of her vocal color) 5. sooyoung 6. sunny 7. jessica (like hyoyeon's, i feel like there are times that i can listen to jessica's vocal color and it sounds good but other times it grates my ears and i think it's due to the fact that her voice is naturally nasally. now if it was a bit more like krystal's then she would have been ranked higher) 8. hyoyeon 9. yoona Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
frapuzino 614 Posted February 22, 2017 Share Posted February 22, 2017 jessica was slaying me with her voice up to 2012 ( when she was chestier idk how to explain it ) -- then her voice became very much chipmunk-ish, thin and nasal so is kind of sad really. i'm more fond of mature voices so while tiffany is not exactly the best singer her vocal color is my favorite ( when she is not screaming ofc ). i mean, she sounds really good here: also in heartbreak hotel https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pyf33BuVtoM to me, aside from vocal technique, it would be tiffany > taeyeon > jessica pre-2012 > seohyun > yoona > sooyoung > yuri > sunny = hyoyeon yoona's two lines in goodbye saved my life btw. her real voice is the best voice !!
