the thing about popularity with GGs vs BGs

I don't think that the issue lays within having

more female fans or male fans or whatever

yes Skorea is very sexist and therefor

GGs already have a disadvantage

also our societies push this idea of loyalty onto women

and that is something that is rooted in our minds

that's even the very reason why we say that female fans are more dedicated

however

because kpop companies even western companies know of this

The industry is made in such a way that

it's designed to win the loyalty of female fans

I mean look at bgs they're constantly doing fans service

saying sweet things to their fans, basically acting like they

are married to them, that is a strategy that works with women

and they put a lot of effort into their concepts too

I'll take Exo as an example only because I know them well

they were already known before their debut because well they are from SM

but also SM invested in a platera of teasers

BGs usually have very complex concepts, and variety of them too

but when it comes to GGs they have cute, sexy, girl crush concepts

and that's it, they don't put that much effort into

building a strong fan base for GGs

the only exceptions I see are SNSD and Twice

both companies invest a lot of time and money on them

and look both sell more albums than some BGs

SNSD is having their 10th year anniversary

and Twice is constantly breaking records

I'm convinced that kpop agencies have the possibility

to build solid fan base for both BGs and GGs but it's easier

for them to just put all the effort on their Bgs and just give

public friendly songs to their GGs so that they succeed digitally

and have CF deals, but once they are done with one groupe they move onto another

like YG did

I agree except with

Why, there is no lie there? Girl groups are far less experimental with their concepts, its not a bash, it's a fact. The general public is iffy when ggs try things that don't fit their gg taste

Examples? I can name a lot of girl groups that have gone experimental and have been met with success.

Soshi (different concepts like RDR, The Boys and type of music like IGAB)

2NE1 (experimental image)

T-ARA (went from cutesy Roly Poly to Cry Cry in like 3 months)

IU (You and I to The Red Shoes)

Hyuna (cutesy Bubble Pop to mature Red)

Lee Hyori (U-Go-Girl contrast of 10 minutes)

Girl's Day (cutesy songs like Darling to mature ones like Something)

Brown Eyed Girls (experimental image)

Miss A (Goodbye Baby and BGGG to Touch and Hush)

KARA (check Lupin and Pandora from their basic cutesy songs)

SISTAR (cutesy summer songs to mature songs like Alone)

Lmao the problem with your thinking is that you're looking at groups that have only just debuted and haven't exactly had the time to branch out yet. And it's funny because if you look at this list, the acts with the highest public recognition have the most ease branching out. In fact Koreans have suggested that this is why Soshi is the NGG, because of the different concepts that they've pulled off.
