Yes, YG vocals are not as amazing as some other idol vocalists...and the fact that they prioritize vocal color instead of their vocal techniques just makes their voices stand out that much more imo

Honestly, idc what some brown-nosed vocal expert thinks. I would take a memorable voice rather than an amazing bland one any day of the year

 

To get back on topic, this was Rose of Blackpink

The same year she got accepted into YG, when she was just 15 years old got to record a tremendous song alongside probably who was one of her biggest idols growing up

The fact that Rose showed this much potential early on into her trainee days, is not something to scoff at

And the fact that so many people nowadays love to jump on the hate train for her "lack of" vocal technique is such an insult to her craftsmanship

 

Blackpink just debuted months ago, the fact that some people can sit here and already place Rosie's vocal prowess into a box or a single category when she hasn't shown much of what she's got and can deliver, is absurd

Yes, Rosie is very talented at a lot of things she does

I just hate the fact that so many people who label themselves as "experts" have already branded her and to an extent BP, as sub par when we haven't even scratched the surface yet when it comes to groups and the members individually, musically

Rose still has a lot of talent to show for and she will just keep continuing to grow in the coming year...and I just can't wait when she proves all these experts wrong
