i hate to be that person, but doesn't it just seem weird? as SOON as bts makes an achievement, the charts decide to change their standards? it's like, the system never worked in bts' favor like it did for other groups. but as soon as they reached a point in their popularity where they're able to reach massive success in an industry where it's so hard for small company groups to get to this level, they're quickly changing the things that bts made work in their favor? it just seems sooo fishy. we all know how dirty the industry is. 

 

i know the thing about charts not counting midnight streaming was rumored a while ago iirc, but it's just lovely timing to change it now, right? only a handful of groups even really benefit from it and most only on their release day at that. ...

The melon change isn't "sabotaging" anyone, real time charts have always been meaningless and to see which songs were doing well you had to look at the daily chart, which, unlike the real time one, counts only 1 stream per person per day, having 0 inflation.

 

So the only thing that the change sabotages is fans' ego because they can't brag anymore about their faves dominating 10 spots solely because most people are asleep.

nugus are obviously not known from the public, therefore their fans mainly mass stream their music when the public is asleep so they have less "competition" and a better chance at charting

 

now that they've restricted the hours, most music releases will probably drop at 12PM KST, when the general public is awake and the GP is obviously going to stream songs that they do like, or songs from popular groups. also, since midnight streaming does not count as much anymore, well the nugus have less chance of charting overall. (if i understood it clearly)
