tbh, it can be really annoying. it irks me tbh she always raps in one pitch higher. i understand she does it to hype the crowd, but there's another way to do it. i mean, look at gd. sometimes he screams but he doesnt do it all the time. her being crazy and looking like a diva is actually enough. tbh, i really like her stage presence, she's really crazy on the stage, it's just she has to lessen screaming. that's it

yeah GD doesn't scream all the time but he always does this "repeat after me" thingy example "say ho ho.. say ho ho ho then scream" or "when i say swag u say check" "when i say get your u say crayon" i'm not bother by it but sometimes i face palm and it makes me laugh lol..like CL i'm not really bother by her screaming cause i know she does it w/ the purpose of wanting to hype the crowd but sometimes i cringe cause it doesn't sound good at times and yeah so basically i agree w/ u...lol..

She doesn't necessarily need to. She just needed to tame it down a bit.

 

 

I've been saying this since TBF was released. She's no longer channelling that smooth slick rappin back in the day. Which is probably due to screams she did since 2011. And im not a fan anymore of her live raps. Most of them sounds annoying now. But some of the songs in the Crush album that featured her rapping seemed better than in the past releases last year. I believe shes still finding the voice that will manage to compliment both the live and studio version of hers.

this is what always amuses me when people say they have great stage presence. doesn't take much to shout and jump up and down. anyway... it didn't bother me that much. What did bother me was all you could hear was her. It was like a CL concert and the others just backups.

I'm starting to get annoyed tbh ~ she was such a cool rapper/singer back in 2009, I remember she used to sing ballads like a boss and her rap was awesome... IDK what's happening. I hope she stops screaming and take care of her voice.

It's fine as long as she doesn't go overboard, sometimes she gets overexcited while performing and does too much. It's understandable, however, she needs to reign it in a bit if she wants to preserve her voice.

I think it's great when you're in the concert itself, you can feel her energy, it gets you excited. For a recording on the other hand, I don't like i t that much, it's too annoying.

The best thing about 2NE1's performances has always been their energy and their ability to enjoy the stage, which shows through on their faces and their actions onstage. Love this <3 If YG keeps on releasing live performances from their concert ohmygod

I actually liked it whenever I watched their performances those screams sets the mood. You are in a concert when you are there you feel the pump of the moment this is not a pre-recorded performance adrenaline runs through your vein, you want to give your best you want to boost your audience, you want to give your all and I can see that she's feeling it, she's getting into the moment no need to do this. I would prefer seeing her scream than her giving a half ass performance TBH.

 

 

EDIT: It's kinda sad that in the other thread this performance was praised because it is really that good but suddenly people came just to bash a performance that is not in any way bad. People can't just appreciate a good performance. Why create another thread just to diss and tell your point when you already know that others will get all the opportunity they get to degrade someone sigh....

If I was at the concert and all they did was choreo + sound exactly the same as studio version of the song, why would people even go it'd be so boring lmao, just listen to the studio version. Even though screaming isn't always the most effective way of hyping the crowd I think it's ok when she's selective of when to and when not to.

 

At the same time I hope she'll take care of her voice more. I really, really like her voice (in Ugly, Lonely, etc.) and it would be a shame for her to lose it :(

They all did so well!! All that energy is infectious! This makes me realize that I ever have the chance to go to one of their concerts, I'm def getting a standing section next to the girls. this kind of perfection must be seen up close!!
