Both SNSD and 2NE1 actually "ranked" better than that if that chart would have been updated at another hour of the day.

 

For 2NE1, their album released 00:00 Korean time and first chart update was approximately 31 hours later, so the album had already peaked on iTunes and started dropping before the chart updated.

 

SNSD's album released 17:00 Korean time and first chart update was approximately 38 hours later. By then, SNSD's album had peaked long ago and had dropped quite a bit in many countries.

dmn oppa, i'm genuinely curious as to what you think about crush(album) and your fave track.

Eh, I haven't listened to the entire album yet, I only listened on youtube to the 5 tracks that were charting highest on Melon.

 

It was ok-ish I guess. Nothing that I found particularly good (I do like some 2NE1 songs, for example "Ugly"), but it at least seemed better than DYLM.
