So I took a stray cat off the street today

Since the weather in NYC has been pretty crazy and its freezing overnight I decided to let this little fur ball into my apartment and he's awesome!

He's so friendly and cuddly and playful. Idk if he belongs to someone or not but he's not afraid of humans, he jumps on the chairs and sit next to you when you're trying to eat a meal. It seems like he was someone's indoor cat and was probably abandoned. The only thing that's weird about him is that he does not know how to use the litter box, or he doesn't want to. Whenever he needs to relieve himself he will sit on the windowsill and wait until I open the window, go outside do his business and comeback.

bless you.

will you keep it?

I don't know, for now he's staying with me. My parents like him and they enjoy his company. He jumps on the bed and sleeps besides you. I wanted to get a Siamese kitten sometime during summer time. My next door neighbor has a cat and he wanted another one so maybe he'll take this one if we don't keep him. I can't throw him out and let him be outside in this nasty weather. I don't know how he survived especially after that snow storm last thursday. It was like a foot of snow and extremely windy and freezing.

Honestly I don't know. For now he's not going anywhere. He has a lot of scabs all over his paws and legs so I might visit a vet tomorrow so check him out to see if he's alright.

You have a really good heart, thank you for helping that little cat!

There's lots of stray cats roaming the backyards where I live. One of my neighbors across the street has 6 cats and I'm thinking she's been feeding them. I've seen this cat before playing in the backyard with other cats but that was during summer time, he reappeared maybe 2 weeks ago. So someone probably took him, cared for him and then let him go for whatever reasons.

There is another cat who frequently sits on the outside of my kitchen window but he or she belongs to someone cause there's a collar with a tag and phone # on it.

I had outdoor cats who when the came inside, would meow to pee outside. Right now I've got an indoor cat who likes to pee on everything I own  :omgwtf: ...maybe I should trade her for a stray... :unimpressed:

Speaking of meowing cats, this one barely makes any noise, he will tap you with a paw when he was food, even though his food bowl has dry food and he ate a can of food when I was making some sandwiches he sat next to me and wouldn't leave me alone until I gave him a piece of ham.

We've had Siamese cats when I was very little that's why I wanted to get a Siamese kitten this summer cause its been like 20 years since we had it but I don't remember how they were as pets, also my biggest fear with an indoor cat is spraying and peeing everywhere. I wouldn't be able to deal with that.
