I think Lin Yun got her teeth redone again and it's a good thing

If you follow Lin Yun, you'll probably knew about her recent porcelain crown news. Basically, she got her front teeth redone, but the public was quite shock about the appearance of it because it was quite fake looking and made her look really different...in a bad way. Some even thought she had jaw shaved (but I doubt).

While her original teeth weren't aesthetically pleasing, I used to think her smile was charming. I was quite upset by the dental works as well. They were just too bulky and I actually thought it gave her difficulties with speaking. You can see that in her Happy Camp episode with Wu Yi Fan.

Thank God I notice that her teeth changed again and they are much smaller like the original teeth. You can tell it's better fitting because only 8 teeth were visible when she smiled during the first change, but now there are 10 like her original smile. (I have crowns myself so I get really sensitive about these things) I mean it's her choice after all but I'm just glad for her. Her smile is better now and I think she can smile more comfortably.

I still don't get how too big veneers happen, like, they shouldn't be twice the size of your natural teeth

It looks better, I just don't like how uniform they make them.

Crowns and veneers are different. Crowns cap the entire nub (a tooth that is shaved down so that it can be capped over), so it can be much larger than the original size. Veneers are applied on top of the original teeth, that might be shaved down to thin the original form. The purpose of veneers are just to change the color or the overall appearance of the teeth, as in maybe longer or slight bigger. Whereas crowns can change more of the original shape. If both are too big, they will be too bulky or give a more appearance of overbite. This can also lead to inflammation. Some people are just born with smaller teeth and they want "big teeth" because that's commercially desirable. But honestly, I prefer teeth that fit your face.
