wait. isn't bahasa melayu/malay only used in malaysia and singapore?

and Brunei and ethic Malay people in many part of SEA. Bahasa Indonesia is a standardized version of Bahasa Melayu actually, it's highly mutually intelligible if you want to count it as different language, but some people still consider it as the same language with Bahasa Melayu

bahasa indonesia is kinda different from bahasa melayu from what i have learnt. but if you wanna move to malaysia, you don't really need bahasa melayu because almost everyone in the city speaks decent english. as for singapore, english is like their first language. that's why i'm curious why would someone wanna learn this language because it's kinda useless to me. it's not like the language has great history to learn about.

Songs in malay/Indonesia language sounds so nice like angel singing.

If you never heard how angels would sing:

It's used as lingua franca across Nusantara archipelago and that's pretty interesting from historical point of view. I know Bahasa Indonesia is kinda different but it's still highly mutually intelligible you can easily learn BI if you learn BM and vice versa it's still pretty good deal imo, it's not that useless.

not for me i guess. the words used for the same meaning are sometimes different. it would take me at least a year to master bahasa indonesia if i wanted to.
