So LSM told them to remake the MV?

I think OP is being sarcastic, but the new one is the image teaser

which means it's probably the concept for the photobook

the first teaser looks like what's going to be the dance portion of the MV

 

And as far as I know, Lee Soo Man has nothing to do with directing the concept for this comeback (someone correct me if I'm wrong) As of last year, he is only a shareholder.

I kinda hope that there's still parts of the first MV in the new version. TBH that teaser intrigued me more just cause they looked bamf and ready to put on a show. 

 

This teaser, even though it's more refined (video quality wise) some of the shots and cinematography look a bit like something you'd see from a low budget kpop MV. The shots from the first one looked more like what SM is capable of (at least in terms of the camerawork) even if the set wasn't as elaborate as in the image teaser.

 

In my opinion I'd rather have a well shot, b&w music video with a simplistic set rather than one that might end up looking cheaply shot despite the elaborate set. 

 

Not to mention people saying it reminds them of hoot makes me unnerved because Hoot was and will always in my book be their worst era.

He's always a producer for every products SM's gonna come out with, he might not be directing but he definitely has a say in production of concepts and MV filming.

A SM executive gave an interview last week and he confirmed LSM still has the final world on everything.
