LONG POST INCOMING

 

ok so i just went to the kwave concert!!!

 

first of all the malaysian choices there were super nice and supportive;; they had one giant box of gifts for a.c.e, bought a cake for dongchan's birthday, and bought chicken for all the staff+ a.c.e to eat which made me rly happy. junhee's fansite (@ACEJUN_777) also sent us junhee banners which were so hq and we got other free goodies like pcs and banners !

 

then i got to see a.c.e (it hasnt dawned on me that ive actually seen them irl yet JSDHFJK) and im so incredibly proud of the performance they gave during their first intl stage FR

 

they performed 4 songs, intro (i dont remember the tile but it starts with gun sounds hsdkfj) cactus, pwf, and callin!! they ate all of their cds (not surprised) and performed with soo much energy i teared up

 

during the intermission, i held up the a.c.e banner and screamed rly loudly an hun saw me ;-; i want to cry;;;; and they said 'kami rindu kamu' which means 'i miss you' in bahasa melayu

They really have the potential to hit it big this year ! An ideal situation would be Jason in the final 9 and the other 4 to form a subunit. (A Minhyun/Nuest tea). They would get the recognition throught Yg and also through the other 4 who will still release music.

 

Ofc I'm all for OT5 too. But I'm just realistic, Jason is too powerfull on the show  

I want ot5 so bad but I feel like Jason and Donghun (and maybe Sehyoon) are going to be in the final line up. Our only chance for ot5 is if the boys team loses Mixnine and JunChan don't rise higher on The Unit.

Still I feel kind of selfish wishing for these things because they are working so hard to be in the final groups and it would help them in a lot of ways tbh~

I agree. I might be not an OT5 fan (yet) but I indeed find wishing these kind of things for them is selfish.

They're working their asses off in survival shows to get some recognition, yet their own fans wish them to not gain some more votes and get recognition for their hardwork. Their ranks have been rising because of their hardwork, but some of y'all are the ones who wished to turn that into dust, whatever your reasons are.

 

They're adults who have decided to join this show whatever the consequences are.

Even if it's not their decision, now that they've been in deep into the competition and put their hardwork into it, I think it's only right just to wish the best for them to appreciate their hardwork whatever the consequences might entail.

 

I just hope their fans wouldn't stop voting for them for this kind of thing. At least their fans should appreciate their hardwork no matter what.

 

Tbh, Idk about Mix9, but for some ppl who have been eliminated in The Unit, it might be their really last chance due to how bad their situation is. JunChan earned their own spot in this show for 2 lesser people who might have lost their very last chance. If fans actually pulled off that kind of thing for whatever reason they are, ngl it's gonna leave a bad taste to me for various reasons. I find it sorta selfish and arrogant to do that, ngl.

I understand how you feel but if I could explain some things~

 

They have put a lot of hard work into these shows and I am so proud of them for that, and I really do want them to do well.

Just know that the reason they are on these shows is because they want to do well as A.C.E as 5 members, and they constantly remind us of that by wearing their necklaces and telling us all the time how much they miss being together as 5 and can't wait to be 5 again.

They weren't able to make it as well as they had hoped so they had to go on these shows to try and get a second chance. This makes Choices, especially ones who have stanned them long before these shows, really sad. So we want them to be 5 again as soon as possible and rise as five members, rather than being separated even if it could do them well in the long run to make it to the final groups.

We want them to have recognition so badly I promise you, and that's why we get upset when they rank low even as we wish that they don't rank too high. We know how talented they are and we want the whole world to know too.

 

It's kind of a complex situation.

 

Obviously there will be Choices who think differently from me too but this is the thoughts of me and many of my Choice friends~

 

I also understand that you are upset because you are a big fan of Chan and you want him in the final group. It probably scares you that there is an idea of fans stopping voting so that Chan won't make it to the final 9. I just want to tell you that us pre-audition show Choices are pretty much in the minority these days. I hope it won't bother you too much, and if I were able to vote I would never stop voting for Jun and Chan tbh

So I started to watch more A.C.E interviews and Chan is really super hyper. It's like he smiles and acting cute and fidgety on every occasions, all the time. He has no rest really. He does have a super hyper cute maknae image in the group lol

 

So I wonder if Chan's appearance in The Unit became some sort of revelation to y'all who stanned A.C.E since before about his other side. Like of what he showed in All Day and Bermuda Triangle perf. Since I don't think he showed much of these kind of sides in both Cactus and Callin'. Are you guys surprised about what he showed here or already expected it?

 

I know they did busking and perfs stuffs since before debut, but I don't see much of these sides of him from what I've seen so far.

He kind of seems like the same to me? Hyper and cute but hard working and serious when he needs to be. The perfect maknae <3

The All Day and Bermuda triangle perfs kinda have a feeling like this cover I think

but to me honestly he still looks cute in those performances, just like sexy cute I guess~

wowson is definitely the most popular ship, that's not even a question. but junchan is actually a pretty recent development? i don't remember anybody talking about it before mix nine and the unit.

and (on ao3 at least) this is definitely reflected in the popular fanfiction pairings... there are a lot of wowson and dongjun fics, some dongchan, and barely any junchan

(there have actually been some wowjun fics showing up in the tag lately and i.... am confused)

 

slightly off topic but imo all the best fics are dongjun and i have no idea why. i guess it's the intellectual[emoji769] ship

- The Unit DC Gall pretty much loves Chan. There are countless threads about Chan after he was announced as 9th member, most of them are positive. The negative ones are really few compared to positive ones. They're also grateful for Chan's addition as the vocal savior of the group lol

His appreciation threads there always gained a lot of upvotes. And he def has quite a lot of fans there

Since you go on DC gall a lot I was wondering if you know why they hate Donghun so much? All I know is that they hate him a lot but I have no idea why. If you don't know it's fine lol

So I just got my new A.C.E badge

 

And watched their english-subbed first vlive! So shocked because I thought Chan's quite quiet based on the unit episodes but he's totally the opposite so bubbly and lively. And I thought Wow's the loud kind based on mixnine and he's so shy yet cute.

 

Haven't found a bias yet but got a feeling i will end up stanning OT5 just like i did with OT4 for mamamoo. And this is hard to put into words but I have this same good feeling about ACE doing really well just like I had for mamamoo in the past (before um oh ah yeah period).

 

Have they guested on any variety shows before? Or any other english-subbed videos of A.C.E to learn more about them? I'm so hungry for more videos, thanks much in advance~

OMG It's the same for me. I started following mamamoo back when they first debuted because I was like "omfg what is this talent you're saying they just debuted today? there is no way they are rookies" lol and I just knew they would blow up (and I shoved them at literally everyone as I waited) and was so proud when they did!

I get the exact same feeling with A.C.E like I know they are going to blow up any time soon and can feel it with my entire soul honestly.
