Would NCT 127 have done better if Good Thing was their title track instead of Limitless?

Good Thing is a lil too basic tbh,it's a nice song, quite a bop,but too lowkey to be a memorable title track. Limitless has a variety of sounds and it's really complex,now that's its flaw,it's a tad too complex, a little  too experimental.A title track should be easy listening,public friendly but not boring,it still needs some sort of impact,maybe a mix between each song's good points would have turned out to be a real good thing.

Limitless is the title track for a reason, SM and ost company's knew what they are doing. I wouldn't even bother them if they released Good Thing instead of Limitless. Limitless made them more popular admit that OP.

They really don't have a believable persona in my opinion. Apart from Taeyong and Mark, none of the members stand out nor are they given a chance to display themselves except for those teasers.

 

NCT is a flawed concept. On paper, it's ideal, SM's magnum opus in terms of marketing. But it's too perfect, too methodical, unrelatable.

Best tracks in Limitless are Back 2 U and Baby don't like it. But between Good thing and Limitless, Limitless is def talked more (Good thing is just an additional, if it was that good pp would have talked about it but no one did, only Limitless)

 

About how NCT is a hit or miss of SM, ppl have talked sooooo much about it, it really does fade out that fans don't even bother anymore. So I think for non-fans better just wait and see. Or if u have such valid ideas to discuss, write email to SM.

Good Thing sounds like a SJ song, Limitless is more unique imo, a great title track.

Not at all actually. He's one of my fave members. It's just that everywhere I see (esp K-netz comments) they think kicking Taeyong out is gonna make NCT miraculously popular. That ain't gonna happen. I see him as a potential superstar if he were allowed a chance instead of being hated on all the the time.

no, I don't think they would have done better. Limitless is a good song for a title track. What Nct127 needs is more recognition. Hopefully their fandom will increase with each comeback until they become a powerful voice that the public cannot ignore. But for increasing their fandom I think SM has to put things in order and clarify NCT system, make them more "stannable".  For example, I don't know if Nct127 with 9 members is the final formation or they will comeback next time in different formation.

I don't think the public would've liked it.. to me it has too much of a Western feel (still love it) . Limitless isn't public friendly either but they did get more recognition because of it.

Honestly good thing gets really old really fast and kinda gets on my nerves sometimes def my least favorite song on the album. I could listen to limitless all day though

No. Limitless is perfect as a title track. It's just the general public in Korea don't listen to boy groups if you're not Big Bang or Block B. The other boy groups like EXO and BTS are charting high because of their huge fandoms. NCT's fandom is growing really fast. They will be charting high in a year or two.
