Has anyone read the children's book Where the Wild Things Are?

I read it when I was little. As far as I remember, it's fine. There was a movie recently (I didn't see it), but I think that it was different from the book. The book is basically about a little boy who misbehaves, so he is sent to bed. He then wishes he could live somewhere else, the island with the wild things, be king, and do what he wants. He goes there and rules over them but begins to miss his home and mom. He then returns home. Or something along those lines. I think it should be fine if you read it to that age group.

It should be fine. Really at that age, kids are just learning how to read through listening. They don't really have to understand the story as long as they can hear what "proper reading" sounds like. Don't stress too much on the content, just read as you normally would because it's very likely the 3 year olds wouldn't understand the story anyway.....the 6 year olds might however.
