“I was cold and had a tough time, but I thought it must be really tough for Ka Young. I was wearing a jacket, but Ka Young had to wear in a spring dress and lie down on the hailing street. I felt many things as I watched Ka Young.â€

[Translation] Mimi's message to Minwoo:

Mimi to Minwoo

"I hope you will feel very extremely sad in the future. Not just during sad movies, but even when you are watching funny movies, you will suddenly think of me and cry with the tears overflowing overwhelmingly. I hope when you listen to the songs we used to hum along together, you will miss me, and because you miss me, a piercing pain strikes your heart and causes you distress."

"Love, freely to your heart's content. When you are still alive. After you have died, it is like this. You can't go anywhere together, you can't touch the other person, and you can't confess your love. So when you are still alive, love freely as your heart wishes, travel to the places you wanted to go, eat whatever you wish to eat. So if you love someone, say it out loud till your lips wear out. Say you love her."

Minwoo: We will be able to meet again right?
Mimi: Of course, whenever. Min Woo, no matter where you are, I will be there.

[Translation] Ending of "Mimi" Max Changmin, Showing off only a skin-deep fraction of his acting capabilities... Anticipating his growth

*major spoiler alert

Max Changmin has stripped off a skin-deep layer and shown his appearance as an actor in "Mimi".

On March 14, Mnet's 4-part drama "Mimi" drew to an end. In "Mimi", Max Changmin played the role of Han Min Woo and gathered attention for showing off a deeper depth of acting in transitioning between his teens and 20s in his role.

Although it was one character, it was a role where there was effectively no difference with one person playing 2 different roles. [details about Han Min Woo omitted] In the unfolding of the transition between the present and the past in each episode of "Mimi", Max Changmin acted out the role of 2 characters with appearances which are 180 degrees different.

The past Min Woo was fresh and innocent. The high school student experienced a fluttering first love after falling in love with Mimi. Even if Max Changmin, who is 26 years old, played the role of a high school student, he possessed an appearance which was not awkward and showed off a sweet romance with Moon Ga Young with ease. In the drama, Max Changmin's expression of love was sweet and they undoubtedly and beautifully portrayed both their first love chemistry.

Because of his memories of his past happiness, the present Min Woo who is reminiscing those times showed off a faint smile. However, while portrayed the present Min Woo, Max Changmin exhibited a faint allusion to the heartfelt maturity which appeared from within him. In that smile, instead of simplicity and innocence, it exhibited his years of experience.

Following that, the tears poured out from the current Min Woo who discovered that Mimi had died in his place, expressing how sorry and tortured he was as a result. During this scene, one could feel from the internal emotive acting he embraced that he was letting out all his pain. Min Woo, who was able to see Mimi temporarily through the magic of the matchsticks, expressed his feelings which were not expressed before and they shared a tearful kiss. Watching Max Changmin's sorrowful expressions and trembling voice, he made one feel like their hearts were wrenched up too.

Because this drama called "Mimi" itself incorporated an element of fantasy, there were also inevitably scenes which were exaggerated or exhibited unfamiliarity. However, Max Changmin did not miss any beat and he acted out his gazes in every scene with a serious attitude. Watching the acting of the young Max Changmin with his diverse expressions and sincerity, it makes one become immersed in the drama.

To Max Changmin, "Mimi" is his second production after SBS drama "Paradise Ranch" in 2011. Through "Mimi", he stood in front of the public as an actor with a more mature appearance. Even in a short 4-part drama, he also emitted various diverse charms. We are anticipating what type of growth Max Changmin can show in his next piece of work not as TVXQ, but as an actor.

[interview] Moon Gayoung Chooses 'Mimi' as Her Number One Character

60829001.jpg

Starting her acting career as a child, Mun Ka Young finally landed a lead role as ‘Mimi’ in Mnet’s drama Mimi in seven years.

Despite the fact that it was her first drama as the lead actress, there was no controversy surrounding her acting skills throughout the drama. Mun Ka Young was Mimi, and Mimi was Mun Ka Young.

“I tried to have similar looks to the character in the original version, movie M. I watched the original one, starred by Lee Yeon Hee sunbaenim, and tried to keep her pure, innocent look but added in sassy traits that are seen in a high school girl. It was easier to act since I’m actually in high school now.â€

Acting out the role of ‘first love’ in the drama, Mun Ka Young had the pure looks to carry on the title of ‘the country’s first love,’ following miss A’s Suzy.

Mun Ka Young waved off the compliment and said, “The country’s first love? No way. I can’t dare be that. I can’t have such groundless confidence. If anyone says that, it’s thanks to the director made me look pretty in the scenes. I was really happy to see that I came out pretty after watching the first episode.â€

‘Mimi’ is a character who suffers from an unknown illness and dies due to an incident, but lingers around her first love even after death.

Coincidentally, Mun Ka Young has taken on ghost roles three times in a row.

Being amazed herself, she said, “I acted as a ghost in the film The Webtoon and in drama Who Are You. But this was my first time acting out a ghost who also has a bright side (laughter). It was fun since each ghost has its own characteristic. But it was tough to wear the same clothes unfit for the weather. Mimi was filmed during winter time, but I had to wear a thin cardigan and a dress throughout filming. I was jealous to see [Max] Changmin oppa dressed in warm clothes.â€

Another reason that Mun Ka Young received the spotlight was because she acted opposite top idol group TVXQ’s Max Changmin.

Having filmed the kiss scene one the first day of filming, the two have become close partners.

“He is really famous, as you know. I was worried in the beginning, because there is a big age gap and I’ve heard that he doesn’t talk a lot, and has so many fans,†said the actress. “But in person, he was a really mature sunbae who takes care of those around him. I think the fans also just think I’m cute since I’m eight years younger than him. They showed a lot of support for the drama, which also gave me energy. The kiss scene also came out really pretty, and became oppa [Max Changmin] and my favorite scene.â€

Choosing ‘Mimi’ as her number one character so far, Mun Ka Young said, “I filmed by traveling back and forth between Busan and Incheon. But it was not tiring at all. I enjoyed it so much that I told my manager oppa I want to film everyday, but he seemed to be tired (laughter). The drama taught me so many things. I learned to enjoy shaping a character and it also gave me the opportunity take on diverse characters in the future. I would like to meet many people as an actress now, not a child actress.â€

How I feel about Mimi:

I like Minwoo and and I like Mimi. I shipped Minwoo and Mimi’s cute relationship. I wanted them to have a happy ending and I cried when Mimi had to leave Minwoo. In the end, I said good-bye to Mimi but felt relieved that Minwoo could get the closure that he needed.

But I would have enjoyed this drama more if the production team focused more on telling the story without trying to deliberately confuse the audience and making things too repetitive.

The ending as a whole, is he with Eunhye in the end? And yeah, it seemed like they became a couple, but IDK lol

Btw, how do you put stuff in the spoiler?

Click on the third icon on top. If you move your cursor on it it will read Special BBCode. Select spoiler.

Or just type [ spoiler ] type what you want to put in the spoiler [ / spoiler ]. But make sure there is no spacing i.e.

About the ending, I think he will most probably end up with her.

[Translation] Changmin's interview in the April issue of The Celebrity

"Max Changmin, my heart races at the word called "actor" which is deeply entrenched in my heart"

From his melancholic gaze, low speaking tone, to his bashful smile. Max Changmin, who possesses the looks of a first love whom anyone would have dreamed of at least once in their lives and who has made his return through drama "Mimi". We forgot the Max Changmin on the stage, and instead took a close look at actor Max Changmin.

Q: The man who is acting again.

Changmin: This is a drama which I am taking part in for the first time in 4 years since SBS drama "Paradise Ranch". Although it is a short 4-part production, the drama "Mimi" holds a lot of significance and meaning for me. It is a piece of work which was tantamount to an oasis quenching the parched thirst I had towards acting for that period of time. Actually, it is also the truth that when I first looked at the scenario (background story), I was troubled, "Will I be able to do it?" However, the surrounding support and the fervent passion towards acting led me to the filming venue again. While preparing for the filming, instead of feeling worried, I was instead filled with excitement. I wanted to go to the filming locations quickly, and I wanted to act.

Q: The relationship between TVXQ and Shim Changmin.

Changmin: While filming "Mimi", the most regretful thing was my tight schedule. Because I had to film for the drama while being active in TVXQ's promotional activities, no matter what, it was difficult to focus in entirety on both fronts. The schedules repeated back and forth, I would be filming for the drama in the regions outside Seoul and when it came to the weekends, I would have to come back up to Seoul for the music broadcast shows. However, for the sake of the staff who shows consideration for my schedules, the actors whom I filmed with, and the fans who were waiting for my works, I could not betray any trace of tiredness. Compared to anything else, I wanted to obtain a good result for my ambition and resolution in wanting to act.

Q: Persistent challenges and attempts with the label of an "actor"

Changmin: While taking part in this drama, the title of "actor" was attached in front of my name. I was quite embarrassed. However, this was a good opportunity which made me realize once again the fact that the word "actor" makes my heart race. Instead of those big dreams of "wanting to become what kind of actor", I want to be an actor who develops and matures slowly along the way by making the most of the environmental surroundings. I don't want to be an actor who is restrained by huge ambitions and has to follow along that blueprint. In this way, the day will come when the Max Changmin on stage and the Max Changmin seen on the screens and television will be able to receive recognition in all aspects.

Small But Nonetheless Mighty: Mimi

“Because I could love you, I was happy. And because I could live in your memories, more and more, I am happy.â€

At the end of the fourth and final episode of mini-drama series Mimi, these are the words with which Mimi describes her attachment to Han Min-woo. They also beautifully capture the essence of Mnet’s mini-drama, for which the girl uttering these words is the namesake: For one, there is the beauty and the excitement of being in love, especially if it happens for the first time. And there is also the power of memories, and the importance of accepting them.

Based on the Korean movie M, which was released in 2007, the mini-drama is able to surprise and capture its viewers in many ways. Advertised as a “ghost romanceâ€, the plot itself might not be revolutionary. A female ghost follows her first love who has lost all memory of her. When he slowly discovers evidence of her existence and suffers because of it, she decides to help him regain his memory. As the man, Min-woo, is a webtoon writer and uses his current popular webtoon to tell their love story, other people from their past get involved and are more or less helpful to Min-woo’s search.

What manages to capture the viewer is the way in which this story is conveyed. Anyone looking for a humorous and oftentimes light rom-com à la Master’s Sun will soon realize that this is not the drama for them. But if the curious viewer is interested in fascinating story-telling and intriguing characters, then they should give this drama a chance.

The characters in Mimi have a depth which almost seems refreshing among the many stereotypes constantly reused in Dramaland; and even more so when one considers the short time the drama has to develop them. Min-woo is an unusual lead: Physically in a bad condition when the viewer first gets to know him, introverted, bitter as the coffee he likes to drink, and confused by his inability to remember a significant portion of his past. A character many dramas would shy away from, since his mood might drag the viewer down with him.

On the other hand there is Mimi, at first glance seemingly the stereotypical girl who is head-over-heels in love, which the audience knows from many other dramas. But with each episode, it is revealed that she has to make many difficult decisions in and after her lifetime. At the end, the audience realizes that Mimi has been the real hero all along. She saves Min-woo’s life more than once, and she loves him with such kindness and consideration that she places his happiness above her own and finally let’s him go.

A word has to be said about the actors, since they are essential to the portrayal of these two characters. Many viewers surely watch this drama for Changmin, and though they might prepare for the worst, they will not be disappointed. After the horrible reviews he got for Paradise Ranch, Changmin might have done the right thing by participating in a more solemn production.

His character is not very talkative and due to his introversion, he generally shows rather subdued manners. This does not ask for Changmin to exert his acting abilities too much. This way, he can focus on his facial expressions to convey the character’s feelings. His intense stare, often a point of ridicule, is actually an advantage for him in this role. But most importantly, Changmin also frequently manages to soften his expression. Especially in the moments when the older Min-woo sees his past self and Mimi, these melancholic expressions help in creating the right kind of atmosphere for the drama.

Moon Ga-young manages to give a nuanced performance in her first leading role as Mimi as well. Her portrayal of the shy, cheerful, lovable Mimi is enchanting to watch. There are moments where she might overact but it isn’t too annoying when one considers that she plays an adolescent (an age at which many are prone to be overly dramatic from time to time).

Apart from the characters, another strong appeal of the drama is its pace which is comfortably slow. This is, of course, not at all surprising, since a movie of not even two hours has been turned into a drama which all in all lasts almost five hours.

The pace becomes much more interesting though if one considers its connection to Min-woo’s state of mind. Its slowness accentuates his sadness, and ultimately also relates back to the “memory†theme. In the beginning, the characters are unwilling or unable to deal with tragedies in their past, which keeps them from moving forward. Min-woo can’t remember his first love, and is stuck in his life and in his webtoon. Mimi does not want to let go of Min-woo, and is therefore stuck on earth as a ghost.

Additionally, in a drama about an illustrator, the visual aspect should not be ignored. And the cinematography of Mimi is truly riveting, as it seems to imitate the manhwa/graphic novel look that is frequently seen in Min-woo’s works. Of course this might just be imagination since the audience gets to see many scenes in a filmed version (the flashbacks) and in a drawn version (the webtoon), but it feels like many shots could be translated one-to-one into a manhwa.

The angles used when the camera peeks into empty streets and shows the Lupin bar, and one very distinct shot of Min-woo stepping into a puddle increase this feeling even more. The use of light and dark contrasts and strong colors could also indicate that this manhwa look is intentional.

For all the reasons stated above, Mimi gets a 4.5 out of 5. Both lead actors seem like they could improve even more, and the back and forth between scenes in the past and in the present is occasionally confusing. The repetition of certain scenes can also get on one’s nerves but then again, that’s not an unusual tactic in Korean dramas.

The viewer should of course also be aware that the whole thing is a giant vehicle for SM Entertainment acts. Changmin is an SM idol-turned-actor; Moon Ga-young is under contract at SM C&C; and SM The Ballad‘s “Breathâ€, as well as other songs by e.g. SM The Ballad and EXO, can be heard at least once per episode.

But even if Mimi is such a vehicle, it is exceptionally good. The stellar performances by the two leads are pleasant to watch. Even though their complete back stories are not known, the character’s motivations and desires are portrayed in a sensible manner. This even goes for supporting characters such as Jang Eun-Hye, Min-woo’s superior who helps him in recovering his memories. It is possible that the cinematic origin could be felt in the drama’s distinct pace and cinematography, but one would have to watch the original movie to confirm this.

Last but not least, Mimi encourages its audience to think. It sometimes does so with overly lecturing monologues but for the most part the viewer is subtly stimulated to contemplate. It is a small drama that dares to tackle subjects like the endurance of (first) love; and that questions which memories are worth keeping and which ones will stay with a person during their whole lifetime.

[Translation] Yoon Do Joon-Max Changmin-Lee Hong Ki, Growing as "Acting-dols"

*only Changmin-related parts translated. Spoilers alert.

In the recent times when there are many singers who are versatile in many aspects, there are undoubtedly many idols who are active as actors. These idols are now in the midst of progressing and working their way around in various fields.

... Unlike the sides of them on the stage, these idols have shown to the viewers a different charm as actors through different appearances on the television screens.

...

In "Mimi", Max Changmin passionately acted out the role of Han Min Woo, a webtoon writer who has lost his memories. "Mimi", which was developed ambitiously by Mnet, was a 4-part ghost romance drama. It created a movie-like impact which was commensurate its short length, and the message conveyed by the drama was undoubtedly not a stereotypical one. The plot of the drama, which was filled with the fluttering feeling and fervent love of a first love, left the viewers touched.

In particular, Max Changmin captured attention in "Mimi" for perfectly digesting the need to portray 2 characters himself while he was venturing to and fro as the Minwoo he remembered from his teens during his high school days and the current Minwoo in his twenties. In the scenes of the past, he portrayed a refreshing first love romance with rookie actress, Moon Ga Young. In this process, his acting of vivaciousness and innocence dazzled brilliantly. In the scenes of the present, he also displayed a higher level of maturity in his acting as he expressed the sorrow etc of a person who was feeling pain from suffering from an emotional scar and was searching for his memories. Looking at the him who was crying sorrowful tears towards Mimi who had died because of him, it caused one's heart to feel heavy too.

[Translation] Changmin's Production Press Conference for "Mimi" in the March issue of Boda - Part 2

*only Changmin-related parts have been translated

===DIRECTOR say ===

Q: What side of Changmin-ssi did you see which made you decide to cast him?

Director: It seemed like I was very nervous before meeting with Changmin-ssi for the first time. The reason being, this would be for the lead character and this character called Minwoo in my production has a fair amount of emotive acting involved and there was a need to focus on the extrinsic aspects too. When I met with Changmin-ssi, I was the most curious about what kind of person he is, and in order to grasp an understanding of that, I spoke a lot with him starting from our first meeting. We spoke for about 4 hours, and the feeling I got from him was that this person called Changmin is a person who harbours a lot of pain inside of him. I felt this strongly from him. So I was really happy in my heart. There are aspects of the character of Minwoo which I had envisaged and Changmin-ssi which were really similar, and if one watches our drama, there are many scenes of acting of internal emotions, tears and emotions. For these scenes, we proceeded with virtually no NGs.

Q: How does Moon Ga Young-ssi see Changmin oppa?

Moon Ga Young: For me, what I can also say is that Oppa is more good looking than my first love. And I also like tall people. Oppa is also tall and is very good in terms of my ideal type. But even so, that seems too high a praise for Oppa (laughs).

Q: In the drama, you had to portray acting which spanned about 10 years, was there any difficulty in that?

Changmin: The present Minwoo is an introverted friend who cannot really fit in with the society, while the past Minwoo is in his fresh and passionate teens who is on the verge of starting his first love. Actually, when I was attending school, although I had spoken of it lightly just now, because I did not even once meet with / date a girl during that time, I thought a lot about the type of feelings, what kind of fluttering feelings, and the refreshing emotions I would have if I were dating a friend of the opposite gender when I was in school. During filming, I envisaged a lot about going back to school and being in a relationship with a friend from school. Having done that, I realised that I had also subconsciously really turned into a student and that I was in the midst of a refreshing love. Although that was approximately a long 10 years ago, for all those things which I could not do during those times, I felt a substituted form of satisfaction through the drama instead, so it seemed like it was enjoyable. Because of that, it also seems like I filmed in an even more enjoyable manner.

Q: If there are any incidents which left an impression on you during the filming of the kiss scenes?

Changmin: Ah, yes, first, the point which I felt really happy about was the fact that I could pretend to be young and go through the refreshing romance within the school which I could not fulfill previously (laughs). This is all thanks to the director's grace (laughs). In addition, what was really great was that the imagery (of the kiss scenes) came out really beautifully and the background also had plaster statues and the moonlight was vaguely shining through. In this scene whereby I received such a lot of love from Ga Young-ssi, who is just, just a little, younger than me (laughs), the expression of this turned out beautifully and from my personal point of view, it is a scene which I really like a lot.

Moon Ga Young: I didn't know that that scene would be filmed so quickly. It was only one day since the first filming started and we shot that scene in just the 2nd day. So I was worried about whether it could perhaps be awkward. But even so, there was no NG and we got an "okay" in just one time.

Q: What changes are there in your acting from when you were filming in Japan and your acting now? And how different is the work place in Japan and Korea?

Changmin: Although I involve myself in the occupation called "actor" when there are good opportunities, my original occupation is a singer. From this point, compared to the other actors who are continuously agonizing over the questions "What is being an actor? What is called acting?" for the entire day when wake up and open their eyes till before they go to sleep and possessing that earnest attitude and working hard, I think that I am ridiculously lacking. Although I am not the type who films many productions, I think that as time passes, the stand I have towards drama productions will become slightly more of, "How do I do it such that I can be immersed in this production in a more sincere / earnest way or how do I do it such that I can gel within this production", the level of immersion will gradually become deeper in my own way. When I was filming the movie in Japan, because it was my first movie filming, going to the filming location and having conversations with the Japanese staff in Japanese and linking those conversations with my emotions appears to have been extremely difficult. Although I carry out activities abroad, as regards the sensitivity and emotions in a foreign language which allows one to gel with the production which only Japanese people can feel, because the foreigner that was me found it difficult to catch the details of that, that point was difficult of course. But it seems like there was virtually nothing which was different on the filming set.

Q: Finally, please speak about your realisations (when doing this drama) and requests (to the viewers).

Changmin: The subject matter of "first love" is a story which everybody possesses, isn't it? Because of this, I think that if one watches our drama "Mimi", it is not just a story, but wouldn't it become a drama which causes the first love in the good memories of the viewers watching it to be revived continuously? It would be great if a time can be created whereby everybody will be able to share the beautiful memories of their first love together with our drama "Mimi". In order to leave pretty imagery in the drama, not just my actor colleagues, but the director and the staff had especially went through a lot of trouble to achieve that. To that extent, because the drama contains such beautiful imagery, it will be great even if everybody shows a lot of anticipation for it. Thank you.

[Translation] Changmin in the March issue of Boda - Part 3 (Bonus Tracks)

1. The interview with Changmin which took place in a tender atmosphere

The interview this time around became another opportunity for the realisation that Changmin is a really gentle type of man. Unlike other actors, he was more honest on a deeper level and was very humble and modest, and occasionally throughout the interview, he made everybody at the venue comfortable with his wit. The location for the production press conference is always like that, although the start of it is always more or less quite stiffening, but thanks to a Changmin like this, the air at the press conference venue became much lighter. While the reporters could ask their questions comfortably, the two actresses and the director beside Changmin were also able to reply with smiles on their faces to allow the press conference to flow along smoothly. The interview which went on without us knowing the time, had to be concluded with the organizer's request for the people to be restrained, there was such an incident(?).

2. This is really manners - Changmin's "manner hands" in front of the photo world

His hands which were raised to the shoulders of the actresses standing next to him were either floating in midair or were they manner hands which had to have their fists clenched? Perhaps so. In any case they appear as lovers in the drama and in order to promote the drama, they were posing at photo world, but it wasn't as if there were no scenes where his manner hands were a little overboard. Instead, this time around, Changmin showed the true expression of "manner hands", didn't he? Whenever he was asked to look in a certain direction, he would raise his hands every time and politely pose, offering convenience to not just the actresses beside him, but also the MC and the photographers. Although the articles on the internet only published the pictures of Changmin with his hands lowered, isn't this real manners from his brilliant self?

3. "I'm going to stand continuously for everyone"

The photo world which became Changmin's sole exclusive stage

After the other actors had their photos taken, Changmin appeared at the photo world. Just like the other actors, when Changmin, who was wearing his unique tender smile while standing dandily, said that he was going off the photo world stage, the situation was such that he could not be released. He needed to take two-shots with each of the 2 actresses, and also took three-shots of the whole cast with the actresses. When he wanted to ask if photo world had ended, he had to take photos again with the director, when he wanted to ask if everything had completely ended, he came up for photo world again for his congratulatory surprise birthday cake. In other words, even with Changmin's long experience, this seemed to be the first time he has stood in front of photo world for such a long time.

4. Changmin's expressiveness, just like someone who scored a perfect score in Korean language

Does he read books in the spare time amidst his busy schedule? While the interview was underway, everybody at the press conference venue was inwardly surprised at Changmin's expressive ability, which dazzled every moment. When asked to talk about the definition of "first love", he replied "It is like a perfume which has been left to stand for a very long time. Although it does not become stronger, it is like those type of scents which will be able to faintly become a lingering memory" and made the actresses who were answering next nervous. In addition, his analogy of the director, who had repeatedly brainwashed(?) him by saying that he is similar to the character in the drama, as "the little prince's fox" was also a refreshing expression which is usually difficult to hear at production press conferences.

5. The fans' thoughtful gifts
A mousepad which drew out Changmin's face

Other than the rice wreaths to aid the needy, TVXQ's fans also prepared a special present for the reporters and personnel at the press conference venue. Because the production press conference started at a rather early time, everybody seemed to eat the rice cakes and drink the beverages which the fans had prepared in a more delicious manner than usual. However, because there was also a present which was rather out of the blue, it was none other than a mouse pad which had Changmin's face prominently displayed on it. Although by coincidence we needed a mousepad, putting a mouse on top of Changmin's face and swiping it around seemed to be like doing something wrong... (even so, we will use it in a treasured way ^^)

6. Although it was a surprise cake to congratulate Changmin's birthday...

18 Feb, the day of the production press conference for drama "Mimi", was also Changmin's birthday. Because of that, after the photo world session, the surprise cake appeared on the stage, but the event ended in a shorter time than expected. It was either because there was no reason to hope for a huge response, given that most of the people at the venue being reporters, or because there was hardly enough time for the interview session with the fever to gather material about Changmin being pretty hot on the day of the production press conference. Eventually, seeing that it was surprise event but it was short and concluded in a simple manner, we were wondering if the people who had gone through trouble to prepare for the event felt a little dejected.

7. Insufficient space to put these (the rice wreaths)
The incredible amount of rice wreaths

Even without this fact (Changmin's birthday), every place where TVXQ appears at will already have overflowing amounts of rice wreaths. Coupled with the fact that the day which the "Mimi" production press conference was held was also Changmin's birthday, just as expected, the rice wreaths lined up were too many for the corridors to house, and they even started to pack the interior of the production press conference venue with the rice wreaths. Eventually, there was no more space to house the rice wreaths and they started to line the 1st floor lobby, which had almost no relation to the production press conference. The rice accumulated on this day amounted to 12.91 tonnes, with fans from Asia, South America, and Middle East etc all around the world taking part in it, and it is known that these would be donated to the needy.

8. The Changmin who was inwardly witty even while being serious. Whenever he opened his mouth, everybody could not help but burst into laughter.
