"Movie 'Cheese in the Trap' builds up action.. martial arts director of 'Bad Guys' join"

"Martial Arts director Baek Kyung Chan who's formed a connection with Park Hae Jin in drama 'Bad Guys' is joining the movie version of Cheese in the Trap starring Park Hae Jin and Oh Yeon Seo. With the addition of director Baek, the 'Cheese' will likely amp up both romance and thrill"

theqoo: Current casting situation of 'Cheese in the Trap' movie version

-Ooh Park Ki Woong! Since everyone in the lineup is on the mature side, might as well cast Yoo In Young for Baek In Ha

-Their ages...

-Are they going for an office rather than a college theme?

-I like the casting

-Cheese in the Office ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹

-I can't imagine them as college students

-The actor for Oh Young Gon is so handsome ã…‹ã…‹

-Cheese in the Trap as an action movie?

-Is a movie version really necessary?

-They're too old to play college students

hope the movie isn't as messy as the drama.

Why are they making a movie when they already had a TV show?

Because the drama was the most unbelievable mess you could imagine with both the author and the main actor disrespected and left angry. The fans were furious and demanded a remake.

^

gdi the ending of the tv series made me so salty :unimpressed:

i WAS SO PISSED. THAT PD MADE THE MANHWA INTO SHIT ILL NEVER FORGIVE HER FOR THAT  :soul:

Well maybe as a drama only viewer you could enjoy it but fans who knew the original, much better storyline and characters were not impressed

The hype has died down.. what's the point

The manhwa has a very large and passionate following. That's who this is for.

Wait what drama

During the drama:  Park Hae Jin was done dirty most of the 2nd half of the drama. Most of his scenes cut out from entire episodes and he only appeared at the beginning and at the end just to continue his story lines. His character wasn't developed at all and people started to complain. Also somehow the story liken shifted from Park Hae Jin the male lead to Baek Inho and Baek In Ha (his sister) the 2nd lead and his life journey and story and people were just confused af because he wasn't the male lead and got so much screentime.

After the drama: Park Hae Jin called out the director and production team for cutting out his scenes and making him a sub character when he was meant to be a lead. The female lead Kim Go Eun called Park Hae Jin out and said that it was unprofessional to call out the team. the team went on vacation together and didn't invite Park hae Jin. Also they released the album of the drama and they edited Park hae Jin out of the pictures even though he was in the shoot.

Overall it was a complete mess.

The drama was good, but they deviated from the plot even though the author requested them not to, and then they made up their own ending because the manhwa is still ongoing, and their own ending basically shoved like 20yrs of backstory into like 10minutes.

It was basically a very sloppy work and everyone could tell. Fans of the manhwa, even more so.

I might be in the minority but I liked the drama. I know Kim Go Eun's version of Hong Seol wasn't as sassy as in the manhwa but I still liked her character and how naturally she portrayed her. I don't know what happened with Park Hae Jin on set that the pd decided to limit his role but that's the only thing that lessened the drama for me. I think his lack of scenes ruined his redemption a bit but I still enjoyed the ending. You knew they would meet up again - you didn't have to actually see it.

**I do wonder though if the pd changed the story so much, not because she was obsessed with baek in ho, but because she just didn't think yoojung was redeemable (which is valid...).

so when Park Hae Jin was asked who fits Hong Seol better, he answered Oh Yeon Soo  :derp:

LOL I guess some people don't realize Soon Ki is directly involved with the screenplay. The casting is so SPOT ON because she clearly had input with the casting. Oh Yeon Seo was one of the original favourite fancast for Hong Seol and same with Park Ki Woong as In Ho (Lee Min Ki was the first).

The actual movie will apparently be a direct sequel to the webtoon since it's ending soon, which is why all the actors are adults.

I didn't watch the drama because of what I heard about it so I don't know park hae Jin as yoojung but he doesn't give me yoojubg vibes. For me yoojung looks like your nice guy handsome type who has a double personality but park hae Jin just has that rude guy feel, he doesn't look like he's hiding another personality. I think someone who looks like park bogum would be good for the role because he looks really nice but like he could be hiding something

They look old for students. Really. Even the original Park Hae Jin. In series it was kinda ok, because at least the girl and second male lead looked younger. But here they all look like they are in the office like one of the comments said.
