Chihaya is currently undergoing one. Arata's turn will come soon. So there's no telling what the endgame will be. But think that to grow as a character and to be happy Taichi needs to get over his love for Chihaya. So probably, if Chihaya will end with one of them, it'll be Arata. She said "sorry" to Taichi which is a flat out rejection. But to Arata she basically confirmed their childhood promise of becoming the Meijin and the Queen together which is at the very lest not rejection but rather a promise for the future. I think she could end up with Arata, but after reading the last two chapters I saw something about falling for sudo. I wasnt sure if it was Chihaya saying it bc there were so many people thinking at the same time. But I did wonder that once she started hanging out with sudo if she would end up with sudo. I dont think sudo or taichi are good for Chihaya because she is very innocent and positive and nice and I feel like Arata equals her in that respect. Suou said to Shinobu he would like play against Taichi for the title and it seems be a 'hint' from the author. And she said she wanted award Taichi for his hard working too. Also, Arata need a character development. And the best way for it is to let him lose again Taichi that he never saw as rival. Arata seems a little bit arrogant by moment (maybe because people at his side are always saying how he'll be the next meijin). I think Taichi should win against Arata to 'erase' his way to think as 'even if I try all my life, I'll never win against Chihaya and Arata'. Him winning could show that he didn't work for nothing and maybe help him to move forward. And he improved his play so much. It would be a hole plot to not use it. So Taichi for Meijin title and Arata for Chihaya I guess? (Even if Chihaya seems more in love with Karuta than humans...) I'm a supporter of TaichiXChihaya since I want see Taichi be happy but if he can be happy otherwise, I'm all in.
