"Arrival" Movie is Chick Flick full of Crap !

This move insult my intelligence. i though its about cracking and unlock the language of first alien turn out its chick flick who understand alien by "feeling" whan actual fck.

 

Thing in Arrival which insult my brain

1. Alien is a squid. there are only 2 types of alien "super strong" or "super smart" and their physic are more likely similar to human bcus all civilized creature of every planet use Brain not muscle.

2. They give the main char super power to know future. wtf. The smartest alien are possible to read the "past" but no creature can gain knowledge of future.

3. The main actress know her daughter will have cancer but she still make the baby anyway bcus pain is good? wtf

it was about cracking the alien language. the movie takes the sapir whorf hypothesis (that languages can influence how we think and conceptualize) to the next level by positing that there could be a language that could enable those who speak it to see the future. the aliens came to earth to teach that language to humans. it's not a super power.

It's kinda hard to digest but I actually enjoyed the twist that the daughter they showed us "was" from the future. They gave human weapon: their language so they can change the way human thinking.
