You guys don't understand that he just simply wanted to make a game with an average time of 5~10 minutes of gameplay. Instead, his game just suddenly rose to the top, getting unwanted attention by players, media, and gaming critics. The undeserved threats and hatred from a simple game he created. He's frustrated and doesn't want to handle the pressure.

Here's a simple analogy posted by a redditor:

It's like if your hobby is painting after work, so you make a painting and sell copies of it to friends, but suddenly everyone wants it and professional critics the world round are critiquing it and the media is knocking on your door.

And what's crazy is your painting is by no means a masterpiece -- you're not some hidden talent that has just been discovered. In fact, your painting kinda sucks, and not only that but it's already been done a thousand times. But for some reason, your crappy painting is the one that everyone is talking about. It's like you're taking crazy pills.

Death threats on the internet tho? *yawn*

He's making 50k$ a week, give it to me i'll take care of it.

Is this an assumption made from people commenting? His twitter doesn't address death threats. More along the lines of success over something that he expected to be a much less significant part of his life. This type of attention isn't for everyone, so what's there to criticize
