I am really liking this show. It's really interesting and Kai is so adorable. I love his interactions with his sister. Makes me wish I was like that with my siblings.

I love how when they ask Jongin if he can dance, he's like I follow along. I am sorry, I am rolling, cuz his character is someone who follows dance, and Kai, omg when Kai dances, he just is thrilling to watch. He feels dance with every fiber of his being.

sorry I got carried away.....but yea I love Kim Jongin

Okay wow I am so hooked onto this drama. Like...okay I get the korean drama cliches which always happen BUT I gotta say this one really impressed me. Jongin's acting is solid as well as everyone else in the drama.

I also like the bromance developing between Shi Kyung and Garam and I am curious about the plot as the episodes go by. I hope for a good ol' ending and no...death even though like the whole drama revolves around that.

Excited for the next episode nonetheless!

Same. I love how easy and well-paced the drama is, and how it's an ensemble. Even though the hospice is the core around which the characters and the town revolve, I appreciate how light the drama is. Even in dealing with death. Here it is treated as a facet of life, it is demystified of its fearful element and not overdramatised or overly depressing. This was the aspect I was most nervous about when I heard about this drama.

Is it possible to have a crush on a character like Shikyung?? lol He is so naughty and lazy but also charming and outgoing, especially the way he embraces his crush on Kim Bom and is upfront about liking her and gets genuinely thrilled when she agrees to date him. I also like his friendship with Garam. Shikyung is blossoming and becoming more social and happy with people.

The actress who plays Shiyoung, his sister, is so good. Omg when she shouted at Grandma some home truths, I was proud of her feistiness. I know the culture in Korea is honor your elders, but some things needed to be said. Also, while I like Grandma, she def favors Shikyung the precious boy over all the other women. Shiyoung has courage to say what she thinks and I like that.

Holy shit I agree with everything you just said! I love how it still keeps like a light demeanour because of the small school, small town, small hospice where everyone knows everyone. I am really glad to see they manage to do so.

And Shiyoung's actress is freaking amazing. Her role fits her like a glove. She shouted at her grandma, at her teacher, storms out of everywhere, perfect balance between sassy and emotional and damn it's so refreshing to see someone like her.

And when Bom sent that text to Shikyung I was shook like she is taking the lead and controls the pace of the dating between them and that's admirable. Plus, the friendship between the boys is so freaking cute the way he casually invited Garam over to listen to old LPs, talk about girls and such. Also yes, Shikyung is that kind of guy who I would easily fall for. Laid back, compassionate, serious at times, funny, smart. I can't help but feel like Jongin put a little bit of himself into portraying his character because they seem very alike in my opinion.

I think Shikyung is becoming a lot like Jongin is now. But Jongin said in interviews that when he was in school, he was kind of withdrawn and didn't really socialise with many other kids. In a way, he was a bit like Shikyung in Seoul -- IF Jongin had never discovered dance and become a trainee at SM (which became the #1 goal/priority in his life).

I too def love how charming he is while still being awkward and a dork. And the same with Shiyoung -- she is bratty and emotional but she's also smart and reads people very quickly. It's cool to see a female character who is feisty and smart and doesn't faint every time a guy looks in her direction.

I LOVE that Bom was the one who sent the text asking him if he wants to date. She really is so cool and mysterious!

Do you all think dad is death? In this ep both slibings fought because their vision of what they think happened to him so I feel that this plot will comeback later. The whole Lee family dynamics gravitates towards what happen with dad and how they all cope with his absence so I think he might be alive.

I'm actually enjoying Shiyoung-grandma arc and waiting for their development because while I agree and like Shiyoung getting brave to face grandma about the disparagement I also think that grandma is right when she says her mother spoiled her (and her brother). Shiyoung is really willing and bratty, but since its her way to get the attention she feels her brother stoles so I hope she also learn something from grandma and find her spotlight on the family. In the other hand, grandma can be really totalitarian and cold but getting her famaly back is healing her, those kids need to learn from her. I believe that her favoritism to Shikyung comes from the fact that maybe she was more strict with her son and she is traying a different path with her grandson as a second chance. Woman still mourning.

Sometimes is really frustrating that after all that happens to their mother those kids don't seem to understand how grateful of their life situation they should be now. I know is the immaturity of their age but as rised kid from a single parent I always feel sorry about their mother the most.

I also liked in this ep when Boram was like "in this town there is alot of broken families" and Shikyung was like "I hate the term broken family the most". It was so relatable to me, a missing parent figure should not be the sole reason to define the healthiness of a family structure. This last two eps have been a really fun watch.

IA, I didn't understand when Shikyung saw his mother cleaning in the hospital, he didn't acknowledge that she is doing everything to keep the family afloat. I also wish the grandmother would show a little more kindness and understanding towards the mother -- she knows she works at the hospice, she knows she just wants to give her kids a roof over their heads and some stability. Yet she treats her like crap. Loving her own son as deeply as she did, wouldn't she understand the need -- and the difficulty -- to do whatever it took to give them the best she could?

I feel like there is a mystery with the dad but I sort of hope he doesn't come back from the dead as that is a bit soap opera-ish and cliché. Did you also hear Shiyoung accuse her grandmother of ruining her husband and then ruining her son? I wonder what that is all about.

The bit when Shikyung said he hated the term broken families the most really affected me. I can see what he means. There is a bias in Korea against single-parent families -- especially if that single-parent is the mother.

LOL they post this gif of SK whining laugh.png

Actually, he did. Initially, he rejected Ga Ram's offer to work part-time at the hospice, thinking it's easier to get money from his grandmother. He was on the way to his grandmother, saw his mother's situation and ends up calling up Ga Ram for the part-time work instead. So, he did acknowledge his mother's situation, in a very silent way. It's a baby step but still a step forward.

Thanks. I missed that link when I first watched. Andante and Shikyung must be too subtle for me, lmao.
