Do you think straight females and gay males present a huge problem within the kpop community?

i've been noticing a lot lately that there have been sever slutshaming for girl groups, most notably new gen girlgroups

and more often than not, those same people are boy group stans (which consists mostly of straight females and gay males)

 

also goes a bit in with them being hypocrites

 

i can acknowledge that a lot of girlgroups do do cute and innocent concepts, but even if they weren't, just as long as theyre not a badass concept, these people lump them in the cute concept

so what gives?

 

this thread got me thinking that this is very true and presents a huge determent in the kpop community

how this community will stay stagnant and will not grow with these types of actions

 

for us not a part of that demographic, we usually either always stay level headed, poke fun at the situation, be perverts or troll it out, but not to the extent of severity with the type of actions these people make

 

does this burst of realization sadden you?

that most kpop fans are part of this demographic? and you may be too?

i never said anything bad about girlgroups, i just have no interest in them. i am a gay guy and i am into male idol groups. Whats wrong with that ? Straight males dont have to be fan of bb... i have no problem with them only stanning girlgroups. So why is it a problem if i have no interest in gg ? Of Course i am against any form of slutshaming.

 

The Thread you link..... is wrong. Boygroups DO a lot of different concept : hiphop, friendly neighbourhood kids, gentlemen in suit, we even had some rocker leatherjacket performances. There are enough groups that are NOT hiphop.

 

Its just that being hiphop is LOVED by international fans and sells perfectly so i am not surprised some boygroups like to do it. Look at BIG BANG, BTS, GOT7 getting popular with it.

It's not news that lots of kpop fans are hypocritical, I don't think it has as much to do with gender/sexuality as you think.

Most girls behave like that when they like somthing they seem to be blind, they attack anyone who disagrees and defend whatever with their lives.

Girls attack girls for not being badass well not everygirl is like that they are lady like girls and is normal is call personality. it's dumb, just like the song if you don't then get over it, stanning a girlgroup or a boygroup isn't about being blind to their mistakes or boring concepts.

Exactly. I think OP put "straight females/gay males" as in "everyone not attracted to women" with the notion these are boygroups stans, but it's not the case. Most gay k-pop fans stan girlgroups over boygroups for the same reason american pop fans stan Lady Gaga instead of Justin Bieber.

The fangirls who slutshame are usually the most young and delulu ones, the "Oppa is mine!!!11" type, but I don't think they're the majority.
