Why do some of my friends get very upset and ditch me over me touching them?

My former classmate(Brandy) is Korean American and is an introvert. I asked her if she was ticklish so I tried to tickled her shoulder and back as a joke. she wrote to me on fb saying that she can't maintain friendship with me.

My brother in Christ(Micheal) (Korean- American) texted me and said I touched(tried to tickle him)  him like he was a foreign object and made him very upset and told me is doesn't want to associate with me.

One of 3 of my high school mates (Jinsu) said to one of high school staff that he does't want to talk to me.

my other brother in Christ (Kwon) got made at me for touching him (tickling) and started cussing me out

why do people get angry with me, ditch me and ignore just because I touched them? i was just joking around. they don't know how to take the touching as a joke.

Personally I HATE when people tickle me. It makes me extremely angry. To me tickling someone is not the same as just putting your hand on his or her arm.

I would just not do that - some people just really don't like it.

your friends are assholes  , a little touch won't kill them

hmmm... i'm not so sure about that, one time my sister tickled our grandfather and startled him into a heart attack... he surivived but it really taught me about some things. i would not take the risk with touching others unexpectedly, they might survive but why take the chance? : (

... also i understand where your friends are coming from OP... if you touched me or tickled me then i would have to stop talking to you, it is very uncomfortable and frightening, also i do not know where your hands have been so no thank you. : (

(but i am sure you are very nice and this is just an instance where we would not be compatible, but i am sure there are many out there who are compatible with you : ) )

Nah, he must be the one doing something wrong and not his 'friends' getting that consistent response from all of them. Can't really blame them as that type of behavior can be invasive and disrespectful.

The common denominator in all those situations is you and your behavior. It may be "a joke" to you, but it *clearly* bothers them, so stop doing it.

Rule no 1 - Don't tickle their dicks

Rule no 2 - Respect each person's personal bubble. Some people facking hate getting tickled. Some people don't like being touched.

Rule no 3 - You don't like them ditching you. They don't like you touching them. Stop touching them, you won't get ditched.

I think a lot of people get uncomfortable when they're touched randomly

It's probably a creepy action to them

Regardless, they shouldn't stop associating with you over something like that.  Instead, they should just tell you to not do it again and you guys can put it behind you.
