Why didn't SM make a female counterpart for EXO?

They did for all their previous groups

TVXQ- Grace

Super Junior- SNSD

Shinee- f(x)

EXO-?

I think 9-11 members group from SM could have been popular.

But i think SM is too late now cause it seems other big groups like Twice and IOI exist.

maybe they had more suitable male trainees than female at the time? idk maybe they just abandoned the counterpart idea in general?

cos i dont see rv and nct as counterparts either. or maybe they moved from counterparts to the sm rookies system

It is Red Velvet. It does't necessarily have to  be the same amount of members for them to counterparts. It can just be their sound or dance style.

IOI disband already and twice flop

other half of RV was gfriend but gfriend went under source music

They will soon make NGG with lami and others

Lol how is gfriend with Red velvet? You wish they were in SM.

Umm. last time I checked TWICE ruled 2016.

So delusional.

I think RV was supposed to be the one but the plan was ditched after the exo k exo m fallout.

I mean,if you think about it..both their concepts are duality. EXO K and EXO M / Red and Velvet

They also have certain similar sounding songs like F(Shinee) do
