LOTBS did far better then Goblin Internationally - So why are some people under the illusion that Goblin did better?

It flopped considering all the hype that it had before it began to air. Ofc looking at it objectively, it did well but people were expecting it to become the next DOTs or MLFTS. It spent weeks stagnant on around 18% before finally hitting 20%. The drama did well purely for the cast and the plot couldn't drag more audience in.

LOTBS is a viki exclusive with viki pass and a delay of 3482039 weeks so of course it will do better in pirate streaming sites. Goblin is available on viki, dramafever and VIU

 

Other than that idk, I heard LOTBS was popular in Asia but that's expected seeing who the leads are, Goblin had more hype in Korea

It is true that LOTBS did way better internationally while Goblin did extremely well in Korea despite the fact it was on a cable channel it was able to compete with LOTBS's ratings which is absolutely amazing. Personally i enjoyed both drama's, I'm a big fan on Jun Ji Hyun and love her but I really enjoyed Goblin just a little more especially with Lee Dong Wook and Yoo In Na <3
