yeah i've got student loans and i have grants/bursary also

honestly i would just apply for one tbh, everyone is in the same boat pretty much, everyone i know has borrowed money from the government so yeah

Ah thanks a lot.

if you can avoid it, don't. If you feel like it's a burden on your parents look into scholrshops. Make a loan your last resort.

Why should I avoid it tho? I think education is really important to be successful

sooo much!

the interest rates are ridiculous, education is important but it's the sad truth those loans don't have students in mind.

Just make sure you read the fine print.

But you don't have interest rates if you directly do it from fafsa tho?? That's what my counselor told me.

Hmm.. I'll have to make sure with my counselor again but I highly doubt it. But thanks anyways

I wonder if it's different with states but I highly doubt its zero. Ask around for sure, hope it works out.

Why would you put yourself in a situation where you'll be in debt for a good percentage of your life if you don't have to?

Be very grateful that you live with a family that can and is willing to fully pay for your education. Most people (like myself) aren't as lucky, and will have to depend on scholarships or risk going thousands of dollars in debt just to get what has now become the bare minimum education required to get any job.

Because I don't want to be a burden on my parents?? Is that so hard to understand lol?

My parents are paying for my sisters education too and she's in med school. I'm just a nursing student and I think my parents shouldn't be too burdened

So is paying for college something your parents are struggling with?

If I was your mom, I'd much rather pay those college fees than make you suffer by having to get loans that you'll be paying for years. If you can avoid paying for it, do it. Try scholarships, make getting loans your last resort.
