From what I've read Koreans love ballads, but hate R&B tracks. 

 

Cry like most of MBLAQ's songs are R&B inspired or have some elements in it.

The exception being Oh Yeah and It's War which were well received in Korea. 

It's War was everywhere in 2012.

 

Koreans loved R&B before 2007 or 2008. It was when singers like Rain had their peak in their career. R&B was also considered the "trend" because it was prevalent in American music.

But in around 2007/2008 idols like Big Bang and Wonder Girls got popular and the trend shifted to hip hop/idol music. Since then mainstream singers in Korea have rarely had authentic R&B songs.

 

I'm sucker of R&B and it's 1 of the reasons why I stan MBLAQ. Unfortunately it's even hard to find R&B songs in the K-indie scene now

Not sure if they are promoting double tracks but I think they have 2 MVs cuz G.O and Joon lipsynced in the teaser unlike Scribble and This Is War.

does pre-order count in charts?

 

Correct me if I'm wrong but pre-order counts in charts during the 1st week of promotion when they have their comeback stages. In the 1st week there's no broadcast points and not much promotion yet, so artists usually don't win until the 2nd week. Some big fandoms like ELFs in China don't pre-order albums and only bulk-buy them from the 2nd week onwards.

So if 'Our Relationship' is not the title track, anticipating this 'Between Us' song.

It was 70th in the 1st hour and now it's dropped to 84th on Melon... I stopped checking at this point cuz it's frustrating

I don't know why J.Tune can't hype anything to save their life. Almost everything they've done in the past year or two seems like they release things expecting people to notice, when it's the exact opposite. It's like releasing your pet goldfish into the wild and not caring whether or not it's eaten by something bigger. 

 

It's doing better than Play That Song or Gone at least 

 

Not sure about other companies but jtc definitely never pays melon to get their songs on the recommendation list, or I should say they never spend money on creating hype -_-

 

I used to care, but not anymore.

I just want my MBLAQ releases sooner than later.

The waiting is pure torture.

 

If they receive more recognition from the general public like winning on music shows and having high album/digital sales I'm sure jtc and the boys themselves would love to release sooner.

Now their encouragement only comes from meeting their fans and making music they love, but at the same time they also have to face the fear of their music not selling too well... It makes me still care.

Don't know much about this, but aren't first week sales like this unless your SM artist or have 17 fan-meetings ?

Are the international buys included or is it just the sales in SK ?

 

As long as the store (both online/offline) is affiliated with Hanteo it doesn't matter whether it's in SK or outside of Sk.

Gaon chart should have higher sales because it includes stores that are not affiliated with Hanteo.

 

Hopefully the bulk buy will start this week because due to schedule conflict I believe they won't promote for very long.

Not only KA+ seems like a lot A+ in general are blaming JTC. I'll be the first to admit I'm not a fan of JTC or how they handle MBLAQ, but this is not their fault. Anything goes wrong and fans attack JTC.

 

The A+ blaming jtc on my tlist are those from fansite admins who dealt with jtc directly before regarding arranging events like setting up rice/flower wreaths at the concert venue and giving MBLAQ and the staff a buffet lunch. According to them jtc is a mess in arranging things, the same as how they manage our boys. So it may not be jtc's fault this time but I understand their resentment.

While I completely agree with point 1, 7 & 8 (I consider my 3rd recruitment of membership application fee as a compensation-free donation to jtc at this point), whoever put up this pann post shouldn't have included things like the pro C rumor and Peru concert cancellation. Jtc still has their good side like they let the boys make their own music and see their families whenever they want and it's not right to blame everything on them.

Have decent income despite lack of album sales, have lots of free time that they can meet their family often, can afford to buy luxurious toys all they want, have musical freedom, can pick their own schedules, no dating ban... They all apparently don't have a slave contract (the only thing that jtc has done right) and I bet a lot of artists envy them.

and speaking of G.O, why do I see a lot "g.o is homophobic" nowadays in this forum and just in almost every discussion about G.O or MBLAQ here and in other sites? I've seen it, has a copy of it, watched it couple of times already, didn't really see anything wrong it. Or maybe my definition of homophobic is not right? I seriously thought it was mistranslated or at least it was the closest/most familiar word to it. just wanna grab people's hairs coz they're pounding it on him like nothing else can be redeemed once that comes up.

Because many people are riding on their high horse and think that accusing others as homophobic makes them look/feel better that they are supporting human rights while irl, if someone approaches you aggressively (I don't know exactly how Heechul approached G.O but I can imagine that an A blood type would consider anything being too aggressive, let alone Heechul is an AB blood type), you might try to avoid him/her despite the gender, right? G.O could've wrapped the whole thing up nicely and/or made up a beautiful excuse since he was on a radio show but G.O just had to be honest and showed his real feelings... Yup that sounds like someone bashable *sarcasm*

 

 

^Yeah I see that a lot too...I see people talking about how g.o and mir are the 'problematic' ones in the group and it really hurts and makes me sad..because people keep bringing up things they said in the past...

 

Mir's case was more on the side of ignorance than anything else. Has he made any "trouble" in the last year or so despite his frequent appearances in variety shows? No. Because he's grown up. He now knows how to be funny without trying too hard. If people love living in the past just let them be. It's not like their biases haven't done anything stupid. Me ain't have time to be hurt and upset by these hypocrites
