from the info I collected from other fandoms, for the YT views to count you can't mute/rewind, have to watch 720p or up, watch for more than 2.5 minutes, close tab/window after you watch it and open a new tab/window to watch it again, no embedded link, and no automatic repeaters...

How can you identify good from bad if all you listen to is crap?

Some people just don't get enough exposure to good music and vocal nowadays, so whatever that gurl said. I bet she can't even tell when someone is out of tune, lipsyching and autotuned.

You can always learn a language by yourself cuz that's what I do.

At the end you might still be lacking in the listening/writing part, but at least you can read it, which is good enough for subbing.

Hey Mocha, 

How long before you were able to sub videos from self study of Korean language?

 

Different people learn at different speed. It took me a few months. To improve you'd have to look up words that you don't know when you're translating. Watching shows that have lots of captions and are subbed by a good subbing team also help a lot cuz most of the time the captions tell you what they're saying.

 

If you're interested in learning Korean I can introduce you some good self-learning sites.

You gonna love your knowledge on Japanese when you learn Korean cuz a lot of their grammars and vocabs are the same. The major difference between them is that Korean has a more complicated honorific system and more slang words.

I tried taking a course once but the teacher wasn't that fluent in english hence i didn't manage to pick up much... just a bit on reading hangul or bits of words. But i would love to be able to understand better.

First you need to learn the components of Hangul and how they sound like. It's similar to alphabets in English - just a bunch of sounds combined into a character/word.

Most of the sites below include lessons on this topic.

the site's name is "Online Intermediate College Korean," so it's only useful when your korean has reached a certain level. I like that there are a lot of sample sentences on each lesson.

much better than google translate imo

the naver one has explanation on more slang words.

 

I think these sites are more than enough for now. I haven't gone thru all the lessons on them and I won't if u ask me cuz it's gonna take forever. To save time during subbing I usually just search for what I wanna know on google. Let's say I wanna know the meaning and usage of ë„ ë˜ë‹¤. then I just google "ë„ ë˜ë‹¤ grammar" and check out the results.

Just wondering will Mir be able to sing one day? I hope so, I remember the clip from young street radio when he sing and he can be a singer! I do not usually listen to rap so I can not say he is good at rap or not sometimes I like when he is rapping and sometimes not! I liked his voice when he was singing in that radio 2011!

Sometimes i feel sorry for him when he attended shows and there will be singing part when he said i do not sing I only rap!!! why can not u do both!!!

And he already said he wish he can sing just sing I think u already have a good voice and who knows it may turn to be an amazing one!!

I really want to said this to j-tune let Mir sing! and once G.O said Mir was already a singer!

When thunder said he is sorry for Mir because there was no rap in sexy beat I was like it is not important to have a rap but just make him a part when he can sing in it!!

A lot of rappers learn how to sing or hold a note to give variations to their songs cuz if they can't sing, they have to make songs that has rap only or featuring by other singers.

For improvement sake he should try singing and adding that to his own compositions.

Guys remember when beast's leader said mblaq was a head of them but not any more now? Is it because their long absent from music??

As much as I hate the long hiatuses they've had, it helps them get rid of the bandwagon fans after each comeback and whoever is still staying is more likely to stick with them for a long time.

It's the most obvious between TIW and Smoky Girl.

Just by looking at the mnet global voting you can tell how many "fans" vanished.

 

Also fans who stay for a very long time tend to be attracted by their bias' personality, which the boys are known for.

Quality music and talents will get you to somewhere but people won't become hardcore fans of yours doing all those voting and stuff.

Looks/appearances are just plain unreliable.

So I have faith in the boys. I hope they become a group like Shinhwa and I know they can do it
