Secre 1,557 Posted January 24, 2017 Share Posted January 24, 2017 I want to be an accountant and take it in college, but I really like writing, it's one of my favourite things to to do, and if I never make it as an accountant, I think having an English major is easy enough to fall back on. Also someone told me accountants are historically bad writers, so it may help me stand out lol. Do you think it's a waste of time/not a good match. Plus, I think accountant's are typically bad writers bc they don't need to write a whole lot lol. Auditing, financial, and risk assurance would require you to write reports and communicate with clients or upper management. For that, an English major will be helpful.
