kxjay 3,543 Posted January 22, 2017 Share Posted January 22, 2017 Honestly, i don't I know that YG has mistreated her and most of his female acts as well, but she always seem to play out the victim role quite a lot imo. Minzy always struck me as the type of person who waits for things to be handed to her, rather than going out of her way and trying to actually attain it. I share this sentiment for having been a former fan of 2ne1 and they being responsible for my love of Kpop. CL may have been favored by YG, but you can't deny that a lot of connections CL has she made on her own. CL has shown drive and a strong pursuit of what she wants, by writing, producing, etc. What was Minzy doing in their hiatuses? Drawing Gundam?? C'mon now... I'm not trying to blame Minzy, but just from what I have seen, she has shown no iniative to actually kick start or show signs of a possible solo career. And can you really blame YG with her being the least profitable in the group? So all in all...no, I don't feel sorry for Minzy not being told before hand about 2ne1's last song/album. She chose on her own accord, to leave the group before they disbanded. Did she really think that the rest of the girls or even YG's management team would just give her a call and randomly ask her to collab with them? What do you guys think? I don't know if we know the full story, but if the final song was made for fans, I feel like 2NE1/YG should know that the one thing the fans would want is to see all 4 together if it's the last time. Personally, I got so hopeful when that teaser dropped and when Minzy stated that she wasn't even reached out to I felt duped. Idk it's time to move on and support the girls in their solo careers. The fact is every member was a victim of YG's appalling management. Who's to say Minzy didn't ask for more but was denied it? All she did was flee a sinking ship (I mean if YG said 2NE1 would release more music I wouldn't believe it ever after all his broken promises). The least YG could do is inform her about the song/MV- not even ask her to come back but actually let her know that it's happening and her image is being used in it. Idk. SNAKES like the group Shes 2NE1.. shes not a member now but YG owns the rights to 2NE1 which is everything 2NE1 related under YG , lets not act like shes got nothing from YG . I understand the company not telling her as they're not obligated to. Mostly I feel sorry for BlackJacks bc imo they deserved better than this. This is still YG's fault and the members, for better or for worse, are not to blame. Minzy would've rotted in that dungeon with nothing to do so she got out.
