1. This was a decision made by the artist. This makes them cooler ㅜㅜ +355 -2

On the 21st, BTS's company Bighit Entertainment official cautiously stated to My Daily,"They proceeded to donate quietly because that was their belief. This was a decision made by the artist and we can't comment on anything because this is something personal.".

2. When haters try to bring them down by accusing them of ã……ã…Œ, the group donated 100 million won... this makes them look even cooler +335 -2

(T/N: ㅅㅌ = 쇼타 (shota). Currently, BTS is accused of promoting "shota" concept.)

3. wow.. I just came back from my part time job and I found this.. I don't deserve to be an ARMY ã… ã…  BTS really expresses their opinion about the politics and establishment but I was kind of worried they might be included in the artist blacklist for going against the government although I was proud of them. As a fan of BTS who did something to console the families of Sewol Ferry disaster in this situation and as a citizen who wants to know the truth, I'm just grateful to them ã… ã…  they personally visited the orphanage during their break after promising the children they'd come to see them again during their volunteer ã… ã…  honestly, they didn't want that to be publicized but the orphanage staffs shared the story because they were grateful so the fans learned this later ã… ã… ã… ã…  thank you, BTS. Please continue to console and spread hope to the youths of this generation. And to people reading this post, let's just live calmly with hope although it's hard and exhausting at times. I hope you will be filled with happiness and hope...> +314 -2

4. The boys who present perfect performance on stage and write lyrics to criticize the society and donate for causes makes me realize they're an amazing group +107 -0

5. I've always thought this but this group has a cool attitude ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ they have that "f*ck you I'm going to go on my way" kind of vibe ã…‹ã…‹ I hope they grow bigger +103 -0

6. Even ARMYs went to volunteer on their own. The artists are like their fans +93 -0

Our first volunteer as "ARMY Volunteer Group"! Chungbuk and Chungnam ARMYs came together and spent a meaningful day by cleaning their waste, feeding them and cleaning their rooms!! Let's continue to do more great work! ARMY Volunteer group fighting!! #Volunteering for abandoned dogs

7. This is cool. As expected from BTS +69 -0

8. They're the 100 million boy scouts?♡ +62 -1

9. I'm EXO L and I thought they were so cool for doing this. Honestly, although they're a famous group 100 million won is a large sum of money. I think this was especially more meaningful because they donated for Sewol ferry disaster. Rap Monster's acceptance speech at Seoul Music Awards was really cool. BTS EXO let's succeed♡ +58 -0

10. ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ IKR someone posted that they only got 30 million won last year +58 -0

wow, that pic of armys going and volunteering themselves  :rlytearpls:

it'd also be cool if the big fansites could get together and arrange projects to donate to charities, like BTS did here, for members' birthdays, and maybe even ask members what charities they would like to donate to at fansigns or something. I already know some Jin fansites donated to an orphanage for his birthday and I think some Jungkook fansites helped to plant a forest (?) It'd be cool if we could do this on an even bigger scale tho  :rlytearpls:

if only I could speak Korean fluently to post on pann or something TT

How could anyone be ashamed of stanning them? They're not only talented but are good role models too, especially to ARMYs.

I agree. I think it's much better to channel all the fans' money into good and charitable causes. It'll make both the boys and the fans happy and benefit other people as well.

This is especially important because of the blacklist, imo. The president may have been impeached, but nobody knows exactly what'll happen going forward. The charity donated is specifically to raise funds for the families to seek legal action against the government.

I was just thinking about this (or something somewhat similar) today. I think Bangtan make excellent role models. But, of course, that entails more than thinking "I love people who do good things." Rather, it's "I love people who inspire me to do good things."

So I hope beyond giving BH & Bangtan their due praises, fans will be inspired to make efforts to donate or help out with causes that are personally important to them in their own lives, too!

^ This the most. BTS makes me want to be a good person and live on in general.
